Managed to figure it out, seemed I had not copied over a working copy of Module Manager.

Hello fellow KPS players. Been away from KSP for the summer, just loaded up and unsurprisingly loads of updates and out of date add ons. Decided on a fresh install and added the latest remote tech, it's installed correctly as upon loading it shows a new (to me) pop up where you can configure the app but when I start a new sandbox game no matter how far I travel (farthest I have tried is Mun) I don't lose control. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.
