  1. Ah, yes. Been away for a while and had lost the touch! :-)
  2. I've found a bug with the trust plate, which I use in many of my designs. I replicated the bug in my vanilla copy of KSP 1.0.4 with only Procedural Fairings added to the Squad stock parts. To replicate the bug; 1) Create a new craft with the Mk1 cockpit and a fuel tank. 2) Add the thrust plate on. The thrust plate will not attach to the craft properly, is translucent and leaves a node in midair. In the following screen shot I moved the craft after 'attaching' the thrust plate to show that it had not done so.
  3. I have a similar problem on OS X. The patcher downloads every time I start up the Launcher but the zip file will not expand. I get an error that says "Unable to expand 'Patcher.zip' into 'KSP_osx'. (Error 2 - No such file or directory.)" I've tried moving the Patcher.zip file to the Desktop but get the same message, except that 'KSP_osx' is replaced by 'Desktop'. 4. I'd let you know but the ship file has glitched since this morning. That's the last time I ran KSP and now, not only my latest version, but all the last few versions of the Karbonite miner/converter only seem to have the first half dozen parts in them. Mutter, mutter, mutter... I'll do some simple tests and work from there. At least I know that it can be done and has been done before. Thanks. :-) UPDATE: Well that was a bust. Turns out that, while there is fuel crossfeed across the hinge, the Karbonite converter doesn't know about it. That means that whether or not I can get the fuel lines to work is irrelevant. I guess I'l take this over to the Karbonite thread since it now simply involves Karbonite.
  5. Question brief: How can I keep fuel lines attached when I move parts? Explanation: I've created a Karbonite miner/converter with hinges so that it can be loaded on to a booster for launch and then unfold itself in orbit before flying itself to Minmus, landing and beginning its task. (It's a real labour of love because it has cost me a couple of weeks to sort out all of the previous issues along the way. I even generated my first Kraken that would destroy the miner/converter and booster at about 30 km. Anyway, I digress.) The problem comes because I have to route fuel lines from the Karbonite converter to the LFO tanks or the converter complains about insufficient space, i.e. it can't find any LFO tanks to send stuff to. These fuel lines have to bridge across the main hinges. When I unfold the miner/converter, however, the fuel lines become detached at one end. I figured someone else here might have run across the same problem. Any ideas?
  6. So here we are two months later and we're either still running the new Launcher (with no check for patches) or still running KSP directly. There's apparently a new patch coming (have there been more in the meantime?) and we have no way of getting it. Can someone gives us an update on what's happening with this issue? cheers
  7. I'm new to KAS and was trying it out using two rovers off the runway. I can't seem to connect a pipe end winch to a radial connector port. The instructions on the KAS wiki say I should grab the winch connector but that just rips the whole thing off the rover. I tried 'Link' but that only allows me to link to another pipe end winch not a radial connector?? All the commands on a radial connector (plug (docked), plug (undocked), unplug) don't work because I just get a you-don't-have-anything-to-plug message. Am I missing a manual, FAQ or tutorial somewhere that tells me how to do this?
