  1. And that's what mods are for, the stock is game is terrible and boring. It claims to have longevity by forcing people to grind, this new "bases" mod merely forces you to grind for longer so Squad can claim that there game is rich and fulfilling. Want to have bases? Try KerbinSide or RealisticEarth, both games give you 20+ launch sites and runways that you can buy rather than keeping the same launch site but just making you grind more to get a launch site that the game already gave you in previous versions. Telling us we have bases is a lie, we have A base. This isn't a new feature, this is an old feature that we already have. As for KSP isn't a game? Yeh...no...last I check it was on Steam and it's developed as a game, so it's a game. That's a typo on my side, it's impossible to have a game with hundreds of active flights. The game runs on a single core and crashes if you use more than ~3.5GB of memory. By the time you reach around 70 flights the game is a slideshow, over a hundred and you're playing at 1FPS. Why is it that my computer can run Rome 2 battles with 10,000 soldiers without sweating? Why can I run Skyrim in HD with 57 mods and top graphics? Why can I run Watch Dogs? GTA 4? Crysis 3? and every major release on highest settings and most RPGs with multiple mods without an issue, yet KSP brings it to its knees? Why does everyone complain about the game crashing? [Removed by the moderation team] Why not? The rest of you seem to enjoy presenting your opinion as facts, or are opinions only allowed if they praise almighty Squad? You mean the bug list that has more than 600 major bugs and only 8 of them have been solved in the past year? Sure thing, I’ll try it out. EA Alpha for 4 years, no other game has an alpha stage last for 4 years. Squad don’t want to release a game because that would mean they have to fix the bugs, as lnog as the game remains in alpha/beta then people like yourself with defend the game as it’s in the beta/alpha stage. I can’t take you seriously after this post.
  2. Either I'm getting too old or I'm expecting too much from games these days, but the stock game is not fun. It's very limited in parts and there's no real reward for playing the game, there's no real reason to actually launch anything. I played the stock game for about 3 hours before I started looking for mods. To each their own, but playing just the stock game is like hitting a ping pong ball against a wall for 10 hours in my opinion. The game was first released in 2011, it shouldn't take a developer just over 4 years to fix a game with so many ground breaking bugs, especially if said developer is selling the game for over £22.99 on Steam and has got over 10,000 reviews on Steam. Squad are merely cashing in on the game now, I highly doubt there will ever be a full release and it will be in a constant "beta" phase seeing as the alpha took 4 years. A lot of the crashes and bugs I have experienced are with the stock game, every-time I crash more than 5 times in a small space of time I re-install the game and play without mods for a while, the game still crashes. A lot of the mods I use are just to stabilise the game, I'd understand needing 7 mods to stabilise a game if it was Fallout or Skyrim, but for a small indie game? That's the developer's fault. Once Unity 5 comes out...we'll be cold and dead in our graves by the time Squad upgrades KSP to Unity 5, why spend money and time when they can release the game how it is and complete and bask in the praise of all the lemmings? It may still be in developmental, but when a game is this broken it shouldn't be sold; it shouldn't take over 4 years to fix many bugs. Just look at the bug page, if you can find it, a lot of major bugs were reported 2 years ago and haven't been touched. -snip- Why do you even play this game if you use MechJeb and Docking? All that you can do in this game is build and launch ships.
  3. I give up, I really do. I started playing this game around 7 months ago and at first I found it far too difficult. I plugged on ahead and watched tutorials on YouTube and finally got a ship to Mun and back. Since then this is pretty much the only game I play religiously and I've racked up just over 600 hours on it. I haven't even visited every body in the system yet, I've just been having fun. Every update has broken this game further, every update has released more bugs than have fixed. I can't have fun with this game any more, if I use more than 20 mods it crashes due to memory. If I use x64 it crashes regardless and most of the mods are disabled. Every mod I have makes the game more enjoyable to play, yet they're all let down by a base game that is terrible. You can't build large ships due to the engine and you can't have more than 70/80 flights due to the memory usage. I un-installed the game in October due to the crashes and my frustration. I re-installed in yesterday as I thought maybe 0.90 had made it more stable. It didn't crash after 10 minutes so I installed my mods again and suddenly it was crashing again, I removed all the mods and it was still crashing, I re-installed it and it was crashing. Things weren't launching due to some bug, there was more lag, there's no new content. bugs in the VAB haven't been fixed, bugs that have been around for a year haven't been fixed. And you know what? I'm not even annoyed at Squad for not fixing anything. I'm annoyed because they gave me a game that I looked forward to playing, they gave me a game that I spent triple the time playing over any other game, they gave me a game that let me do exactly what I've wanted to do; to build spaceships and start a mining company. They built up my hopes, then crapped all over them. This could have been a great game, but it's too late. And yes, I'm mad.
  4. Sorry the issue was with me, I was attaching them upside down. Work perfectly now, thanks.
  5. Copied it word for word apart from the butthurt thing. If you want to wave you "special internet powers" around than by all mean do so, but don't throw a tantrum because I disagree with your oh so special Squad. I take someone calling me butthurt very personal and consider it a grave attack on my person, I hope you act accordingly and follow the community rules. KSP isn't a big enough game to get notice by video game media for stealing other people's work. No other main stream company would release a game for this long and not fix ANY major bugs that have been reported, kind of the reason Squad tries to hide the bug list and king of the reason why the bug list seems to grow daily without ever getting fixed.Just over 700 bugs report, yet only 20 have been fixed. Major bugs that were reported 2 years ago seem to be ignored. I also posted proof in my last post, but for some reason you deemed fit to delete it. Any reason for that? Or do Squad tell you to delete anything that harms their reputation on this forum? Wouldn't want billies knowing that Squad actively steal mods to pass off as new features, don't care about fixing updates and are only interested in making more money off a broken game. http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/290 http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/projects/ksp/issues?set_filter=1&tracker_id=1
  6. Huh. With such a brown-nose/post ration on your forum page, I can't take you seriously anymore. Seems like the conversation between the two of us is over, but you're still going to reply for some reason. Odd... C9 was implemented in the game first before they offered anything to the creator, it wasn't until he complained that he was given anything in return for his work. As for why modders don't complain when there work is stolen, do you go to any other KSP forum apart from this one? All they do is complain about there work being stolen, any dissent ehre is quietly crushed by the Squad Worship Brigade who ban people and delete ANY post that disagrees with the opus moderandi here, what's more they do it for free. Why aren't Squad developing their own content rather than taking mods and implementing them so they can sell the game more? Because Squad no longer cares about this game, they've made some money and they're quite happy selling a broken and unfinished game as long as lemmings such as yourself and willing to spread open the cheeks and dive right in and defend their every action.
  7. You're condoning theft then? There aren't 100+ people working on one mod, there's usually 1-5 people working on a single mod. Squad have actively stolen mods and passed them of as stock parts. C7 Aerospace, Mechjeb, FinePrint, SpacePlane Plus, multiple B9 pieces. I'm pretty sure if someone stole Squad parts and implemented them into another game or passed them off as their own, Squad wouldn't be too happy.
  8. EA means Early Access, which KSP "was" before this Beta release. You can disable automatic updating on Steam, but there's no way to disable the game from updating when you play it apart from going offline, however this is more of an issue with Steam rather than Squad. As for bugs, what's the point in reporting them when Squad simply doesn't care? People are still stupidly buying this game on Steam which is putting money in Squad's pocket without them doing anything. Bugs that have been around since 0.13 are still there, each update brings more bugs and nothing is ever really fixed. There haven't been any new features for over 8 months regardless of the fact that we've had multiple updates, any features that are implemented are just stolen from already existing mods.
  9. To be honest, my pet peeve is KSP itself. I found the game about 7 months ago and found it very difficult at first, with tutorials I slowly learnt how to build and maneuver my crafts and I was very pleased with myself when I managed to finally land on the Mun. The game frequently crashed, but it was an EA game so I wasn't surprised. After a week or so of playing I started to install mods and spend more and more time playing KSP. The game was still crashing a lot but I assumed the bugs would be fixed with each update. There were many little bugs, but I bore through them and played the game. With each update the game didn't get any better and seemed to develop more and more bugs, it seemed that every bug that was fixed brought out 10 more bugs. Buy 0.24 I finally had a somewhat stable game running in x32 with about 25 mods running with it. I managed tom stop Steam from updating the game automatically and I really enjoyed playing the game, not because of the core game itself but because of the hours of fun added by the mods I installed. Two weeks ago Steam for some reason updated me to 0.90 and I spent another hour fixing and updating all my mods so that I could play the game. It seems that there are now more bugs and there don't seem to be any new features. I've removed the game out of frustration many times because it's so unstable. Squad have given us a x64 version that doesn't work and a x32 version that crashes if you so much as install a couple of mods due to the high memory usage of the game. I can't create crafts any more due to the numerous bugs in the hangers and launching has become nigh on impossible due to the new clipping bugs. Squad haven't even added anything new as the new "levelling up bases" is just another way to add a few hours of grinding to the grind that is career mode and all the other "new" features have been stolen from previous mod. KSP is my pet peeve because it started off a great game, but it's gone the way that close to every EA game has gone. The developer has earned some money and rather than complete the game or fix, they're content to sit back, not fix anything and continue to steal mods to release as "new features".
  10. Doesn't seem to work any more with 0.90, the game doesn't crash but none of the parts move.
  11. Firstly, thanks for this mod. I've been using it quite extensively and it's very useful. I recently upgraded to the mess that is 0.90 and had to update all my mods, including this one. I like building large space stations and I use this mod to put them in orbit around Kerbin. Before 0.90 I could put the ship in orbit and edit all parts of its orbit, I could have it with an Apoapsis of 100km and a Periapsis of 2000km by using the sliders under "Orbit Editor", however with the new update to your mod EVERY single slider only affects the position of the ship on the orbit apart from the inclination one which still works. Is this a bug, or is it a new feature?
