  1. Thanks for the info, Just Jim. Say, is there any chance you can walk me through the "free upgrade" procedure? I can only see how to re-buy "Making History", but I don't see any clicks for upgrading. Thanks!
  2. I bought Making History about a year ago, and it worked great. I stopped playing KSP for a while. When I started KSP about a month ago, it was upgraded to version 1.7.2.2556. When it was loading a message appeared: "Making History: Expansion Version [1.6.1] isn't a valid version that can be loaded! Minimum [1.7.1] Maximum [1.7.1]" Do I have to buy "Making History" every time KSP is upgraded, or is there a free upgrade for "Making History"? Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
  3. My KSP was just updated to version 1.1.0.1230 (April 19, 2016). I no longer saw the icon for Docking Port Alignment Indicator. I reinstalled the mod, but still no icon. I ran KSP in 32-bit mode and 64-bit mode, and it didn't matter - no icon. Does anyone have any advice? I noticed the icons are now arranged vertically at the top of the right side of the screen. They used to be arranged horizontally at the top of the screen at the right. I don't know if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
  4. Hello maceemiller and sal_vager! Thank you both for responding to my issue. I ended up following sal_vager's suggestion of renaming my most recently saved file to "persistent.sfs". Specifically, I first deleted the corrupted "persistent.sfs" (after first saving it under a different name, just in case), and then I renamed my most recent save file ("Jan 22 2016 11 09 pm.sfs") to "persistent.sfs". Everything works now. I thought I would have to start again from scratch!!!
  5. I'm running version 1.0.5.1028. My computer crashed while playing KSP. The problem is now fixed. However, now when I click on "Resume Saved", nothing happens. It can't find my saved games, even though I'm able to find them in Steam/steamapps/common/KerbalSpaceProgram/saves. I'm guessing that a file that points to the "saves" directory was corrupted when my computer crashed. I've got lots of things in orbit around Tylo and on the surface of Tylo. I'd hate to have to start over. Is there some way to fix the file that KSP uses to point to the "saves" directory? Thank you all for any help.
  6. Hello Red Iron Crown, Scarecrow88, OhioBob, eddiew, juanml82, cantab, GoSlash27, Pecan, and Laie. Thank you all for your great suggestions. The first thing I'll try is adding more nuclear engines to my rocket. Since I first posted I've seen a few rockets with multiple nuclear engines. Also, I like the idea of first placing my rocket in a highly elliptical orbit, and starting my burn from the apoapsis (I believe that is what your suggestion is, GoSlash27 and Laie). I tried to insert a screen shot of my rocket, but I kept getting the error that said that the text I entered was too long. The rocket consists of two Rockomax Jumbo-64 fuel tanks stacked on top of each other, with a single nuclear engine and a one-man capsule on top.
  7. Hello everyone. I'd like to take a big rocket to Duna using the nuclear engine. When the maneuver node calculates a maneuver, I believe it assumes the engine will fire for only a few seconds, or maybe a minute at most. However, my engine must fire continuously for 60 minutes to get to Duna, and the resultant path is quite different from the maneuver-node plotted path. In fact, it misses Duna entirely. Those of you who use nuclear engines - how do you plot your course to other planets when you must have a very long engine burn time? Thank you to everyone in advance.
  8. tater, Yellow Dart, Vladthemad, and lextacy: Thank you for your clearly written and detailed answers. Everything you explained worked for me, and my stranded astronauts have renewed hope that rescue is on it's way.
  9. I'd like to launch an un-crewed Mk1-2 Command Pod on a mission to rescue three stranded astronauts. My rocket will have an RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit, so (hopefully) I'll be able to control the ship even without a crew. When I select the Mk1-2 it has three astronauts in it already. The only way I know how to remove them is to have them jump out of the Command Pod while on the launch pad! I'm hoping there's a better way to get an empty Mk1-2 Command Pod. Thank you in advance for any advice!
