  1. Thanks for the comments guys! Some weaponized versions of some of the ships are coming up soon. Indeed. However, one hit to anything besides the wings and any kind of ship, armor or not, would be gone. Even small probe body mini-torpedoes that I use for my cannons tend to pierce right through some of the tougher, more armored ships. Because of this, I tend to just go for the looks.

With a few purchases from the SX-line, you could start a large scale war with most of the Kerbin nations easily guard your transit and cargo operations in the entire system! It only has two NERVA engines and one mainsail. It is a small frigate, and is only meant to operate in Kerbin Orbit. However, due to it's low mass, the SXF-4 is the most maneuverable of the series. It has eight NERVA engines and one mainsail. This larger frigate has 6000+ delta v, and even more when only using the NERVA engines. Currently... none of these ships have weapons. But I'm working on modifying them for cannon and missile weaponry, and we're having some success.   3. My latest creation. Balancing this thing was hard, but it turned out nicely. The range is amazing, and it takes off at a nice ~70 m/s. As you can imagine, the max speed is only around 200 m/s max, but it looks cool.
  4. Sorry if this is an extremely stupid question - Does anyone else get the F-02 as a stock ship that comes with the 0.17 update? Just wondering. I'm thinking I might have gotten it as a bug, because it's labeled (Stock) in my game.
  5. Your aircraft might just be too heavy - there might not be enough wing lift for it to take off the ground. For this to happen, I'm assuming you're using rocket fuel tanks. Either put more engines or reduce the amount of rocket fuel.
  6. Added a much larger, frigate class SSTO. I'm still thinking of a catchy name, so I'll just call it the "F-02 Frigate" for now. This is a VAB design, so don't put it in the SPH. Heavily inspired by 42i and kerby1883. Edit: It won't let me post another attachment? I guess the limit is 5 for now. The .craft will be on the SSTO post, not the OP.
  7. If you're talking about the sunbeam laser mod, yeah, I wish I could use the auto-aim of the laser. I tried editing the cfg to allow part attachment onto the laser itself, but when I aimed the laser, the model moved without the stuff attached to the model moving.
  8. Thanks for the replies guys! I made the tank turret by attaching a powered hinge to a rotationtronthingy, and attaching that to the two railguns. Or something like that.
  9. Personally, I go straight up to around 12k, then start angling down to around 60 until 20k, at which point I would level out and cut thrust until around 20 seconds before AP. Then I burn until I have a circular orbit. Then again, I don't actually have any air breathing engines on my plane. Just two aerospike engines.

  11. -SSTO Craft- Capable of reaching a low-kerbin orbit with enough fuel to re-land. Edit: I also forgot to retract landing gear. Every single time. A large frigate-class starship. Entirely stock. Mechjeb is optional - stick the case version on the cockpit, set the turn start to above 40k and the turn end to above 100k. This is a VAB craft.
  12. -Bombers- A nice, large, stable bomber for all your bombing needs! Bombs not included. 2nd generation bomber that takes off fast and has a large payload and range. Fairly stable.
  13. Welcome to the new and improved Shiny Industries! I decided to make a new thread after I realized I couldn't edit the title of the old one. I also needed to make posts right after my OP for more planes due to the 5 image limit. All creations are stock besides the tank, which requires Jellycube's railgun mod and Damned Robotics. -All-Purpose Jets- An all-purpose low altitude jet. Modeled after the F-35 Lightning. Note: Don't press space twice - I used hardpoints for some of the finder details of the plane. An all-purpose high altitude jet. Don't turn too fast. Inspired by the VTOL in Kerbals at War.

  18. Ah, well the problem is, I'm going looks over performance. I can't exactly take off 25 wings, as they make up the main body if the aircraft. One of my other wing-bodied aircraft flies fine with around the same amount of wings, so it can't be that anyways. And the nose hardpoint canard thing just looks bad IMO. I did take off some wings in the front and replace them with tailfins that have less lift and more weight. I also added two canards to the front. And, well, it flies now. Kinda. With SAS, it flies straight, but trying to actually do anything makes it do mad flips in every direction. Edit: Scratch that. Too many wings are probably the problem. My other plane has less then half of the wings as this one Let's see how many wings I can take off this thing...
  19. This plane can't fly correctly - once it gets off the runway, it does large loops backwards that I can't control. I assumed it was too much wing lift in the front / too much weight in the back, but even after putting a lot more wings in the back, it continued to do the backwards uncontrollable loop. Helps?
  20. Thanks! After seeing the Kerbals at War movie, I did want to make some kind of futuristic plane. The T-103 was the result.
  21. T-2 "Swift": A nice little all-purpose jet. Note: When flying the plane, do not press the space bar twice. I used several hardpoints for the finer details of the plane. T-102 "Thunder": A high-altitude jet. This plane can turn fast, although it often loses control when turning at extreme angles. TB-01 "Greatsword" MKII Yep, this thing actually flies. And it flies pretty damn well. It's a slow, high altitude, long range bomber. TS-03 "Razor" Not exactly a plane, but it has quite the firepower. Requires Jellycube's railgun and damned robotics. I can take some orders as well. No rockets please, I specialize in aerospace and defense
  22. I\'m not sure if this is in the right section, so sorry of it isn\'t. Whenever I first go to the runway from the hanger, my spaceplanes start fine. But when I restart from a flight, my spaceplane falls apart immediately. Why is this happening?
