Ah, I figured as much. Super simple things like this (not meant as insult, it really is simple, which is good) always go right over my head for some reason.

So, how exactly do I use this to help myself... orbit?

I'm having an issue with this. When I descend with my parachute, I'm going twice as fast as normal when my parachute opens at ~500 meters, causing the command module to explode. I'm not sure if the command module is too heavy, or if the parachute is too weak, but it's really grinding my gears knowing that the families of these astronauts are going to have one less plate at the table.

So pretty much, if I use this, I have to make sure my rocket is out of the way of the decoupler before doing anything?

So, when I tried using this, something happened... For a while, the small engine was stuck within the side of the decoupler.

This is very nice. It's powerful and efficient. I made it to around 630,000 meters at around 6,250 m/s before I ran out of fuel. This was the only engine on my craft, with the single parachute, one liquid fuel tank, the escape tower mod, and 4 wings.

Works great. I love it.

This paired with the OPA and the ion engine, and I almost feel like I'm cheating.
