  1. Big thanks for the solution. Someone didn't pay the Thought Police their backhander by the looks of it.
  2. Several Kerbonauts spent the afternoon undergoing substance testing before film supporting their claims of strange new life on Kerbin was developed.
  3. Valentina achieved a world distance and altitude record and marked the spot for historical record with a plaque. Lovin' 1.0
  4. So there was this small incident with an exploding engine. No Kerbal casualties, fortunately. OMB Demolition have been extremely prompt in arriving to examine their equipment and are saying something about an owners manual. Ours is supporting the coffee table.
  5. 'Footprint' plaque: "Here stood Jebediah Kerman, Y1, D08, 1:01:26" -------------------------------------------------------------- In light of the ship's horizontal state, Kerbal Space Program is designing a tasteful mausoleum to add to the picturesque site once they can be bothered getting round to sending another vessel there.
  6. So, amidst excellent orbital rescues and disastrous proof that sticking a couple of triangles on the side of your ship does not make an atmospheric craft, I managed to accidentally create a legitimate space vehicle out of two small stack separators that I fashioned together to clear a docking port and an engine as they came apart. Following it closely with my probe in case it gets more ideas.
  7. Tomzar Kerman, renown Olympic class chiropodist and snail-tamer extraordinaire, today rescued the beautiful Haning Kerman (no relation) after she was declared 'Dutchman' by her colleagues following hasty discussions with their lawyers regarding liability clauses. Undaunted, Haning stated she was unruffled by the event, and would return to space after educating her former employers in the surgical application of blunt objects.
  8. 'Big 'un I' changed designation to 'Port Kerbin' as it officially achieved stable orbit. Promptly declared independence and commenced peace negotiations based on the ability to drop various items on space-to-ground trajectories with potentially lethal consequences.
  9. Today, while the universes I see here got on with amazingly advanced stuff, I discovered it is actually possible to land a plane back where it took off from instead of dumping it halfway round the planet. Several Kerbal recovery businesses promptly filed for bankruptcy.
  10. After much rotating of ladders to no avail, I finally hit on lowering the tail and jumping aboard. While this ends up with poor Jebediah faceplanting 90% of the time, he sometimes manages to board and walk to the cockpit along the fuselage; occasionally actually making the journey without falling while passing the emergency chute and having to start over again. There is probably a simple way to get round this, but as Kerbal has only just invented the wheel, they probably deserve some breathing room before tackling the trivial stuff.
  11. Completed my first orbit mission on career, which left me with no electricity because I'm a doofus, and had me tumbling in space while guessing when to burn; then cleverly left the rocket to do an EVA report after I landed and found my ship was abandoned on the other side of the planet when I hit the recovery button. No clue how to get it back to salvage parts and get the science points it holds, but more an irritation than a problem. Only had the game a couple of days and barely scratched the surface, but it's the game I've wanted all my life. Really looking forward to trying the more realistic mods once I feel ready for it. How did I miss getting this for so many years?
  12. Hi there, wonderful to find this game at last; it was getting boring sat under under a rock. Having a whale of a time trying to load the mods I'd like without crashing the install and having to start from the beginning again, so I'll be browsing about trying to figure things out for a bit.
