Well, if anything it is good that Wii U-ers get to play KSP. And I understand them wanting to have as large a consumer base as possible, I just hope they are not spreading themselves too thinly. Lots of work still needs to be done on the PC version.
-
I have a tendency to carry way too much fuel than I need for missions.
-
No it doesn't. The fact that there are Activision, Ubisoft or EA banners on half the sites like PC-gamer, IGN, Gamespot, and the likes, should tell you what you need to know about their partiality. I have no doubt that those companies push for good reviews. I'm just saying I doubt that Squad did that.
-
Ratings these 'big' game journalist give, have gotten to mean less and less to me in recent years. Game journalism is all about teh money. That being said, It's close to what I would give to KSP, and I doubt Squad gave PCgamer a bunch of money.

AFAICT KIS will be the inventory system, and KAS will be the building system. KIS will be required for KAS, so I do think that KIS will take over the inventory system the storage boxes of KAS used to have.

Probably already mentioned, but parachutes slow you down too fast even in their semi deployed state, and they should burn up at high speeds, like instantly. Re-entry heat has no purpose now. Also, heatshields are massless, so you tip over 90% of the time while on re-entry.

Downloading now. Can't wait for the KAS update. Thanks for your awesome mods! <3

Oh I agree that it accomplishes nothing, and is in bad taste. But I feel that posts like these accomplish nothing either.

If people weren't being critical how would Squad know what to look at? Unadulterated praise is not what helps a game. Neither do condescending topics like these.

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
Maizel replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Kerbal engineer noob here. Any way how I can see, or extrapolate whether I have hit terminal velocity on the ascend? -
Strange heating behavior on reentry without heat-shield
Maizel replied to Axela's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I agree. But without using them, you will still be going at INSANE speeds until you splat on the ground. -
I can't wait for KAS to be updated. I miss making my little spacecranes.
-
I would agree. But as far as that goes, I will just go with what the devs tell me. xD But yes, many things to do until the game reaches the potential I've always had in my mind.

I think 1.0 is a good update, though it is not the one I would have left Beta with. After a few updates it will probably be pretty great.

Strange heating behavior on reentry without heat-shield
Maizel replied to Axela's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The reentry heat is no issue, because you won't get hot until well into parachute altitude, which will slow you down to a crawl within a second. It really needs a tweak or two. I am still going 700ms at 2k alt, if I don't use chutes >.> -
Re-entry heat is a good idea idea, but as it stands now it seems kind of useless. My heatshield only ever gets 'damaged' until after I reach parachute altitude, which slows me down in a second. But then again, if I didn't use them, I would slam into the ground with a 800ms speed.
-
Rentry seems so weird to me. I launched some simple rockets, And on the way down I keep accelerating until about 20 k alt. With the fiery sttuff all around my capsule to as low as 3K alt. I know they reworked it, it just seems very 'off' to me.

Haha. That was good.

Do you feel KSP is ready for 1.0?
Maizel replied to hoojiwana's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Oh wow, first post as a longtime player *fireworks* I dont want to beat a dead horse, but I just wanted to give my 2 cents. Do I think it is ready? It is close, but ultimately I would have to say no. I don't have to big of a problem with them moving to 1.0, because from the info given to us it seems that it merely a version change. Development sounds like it continues in the way that it has been before. Bugs can be fixed at ant time, given the devs will. The reason I don't think the game will be ready is the fact that the early access label offers the game more protection than I think many of us realize. Squad is given a break , to a certain extent, for annoying things small or bigger. All the little issues will be magnified when the game leaves beta. And squad will take the full impact of their newfound accountability, for issues and shortcuts (skybox etc) the game has had for months, sometimes even years. Also the game lacks anything to keep your interest long term. It needs new planets, asteroids, and maybe even a few more solar systems. While I have more faith in squad than most other developers, with the game being in early access, there was always the hope more might come, because the game wasn't finished yet. They say anything beyond 1.0 is a thank you. For all we know their gratitude might be less than we expect when they're sitting on all their full release money. Also, I would have liked to see the game use Unity 5 before release.
