  3. So I am trying to pack all my parts to build a rover on the Mun. The problem is, what can I put the rover base on to hold it up while I put the wheels on? Before with KIS/KAS you could use a pylon, put that down, put the rover base on top, attach the 4 wheels and then pick up the pylon. That does not see to be an option in stock construction. Ideas? Thanks.

  7. No there is nothing with that name. I have event search the files and nothing comes up. Under X or even using the word Science. It is very odd.

  13. Absolutely. I certainly do not think we are "entitled" to an update simply because we have used the mod nor are we demanding an update. I do not want to speak for others, but I know for myself, I would appreciate an update. IMO I believe the fans of the mod have been very patient. Heck we all have RL that gets in the way of gaming and hobbies. A simply update on what going on with the mod would be nice, that is all. And if RL has gotten in the way, ok, no biggie, I certainly understand. But it would be nice of the OP to post of asking someone to take it over if that is indeed the case. I have requested someone fork it and update it, but the reply I got was, well it looks like they might still be working on it. So people won't do it unless they know it is abandoned.

I certainly believe the posts we have been making are respectful and when the Modder says it should be out "in a few days" back in April and it is now June 17th we certainly HAVE been patient as well. As we have patiently been waiting this mod to be updated I am respectfully requesting an update to its status.
  15. Problem is, it is 10-15 days between decent commits. Kinda hard to believe it has been so long since 1.1 has been released and this mod is still languishing.
  16. Regarding the other forks, those are all old and having contacted all of them, 4 out of 7 stated they never had intentions of doing anything and other other 3 never responded. As for contacting xEvilReeperx, we have posted in the thread and received little to no communication within the last few months. And as you know, if you ever ask "How the update coming or is there going to be an update" even if it is has been months and months you will almost always get the following response, "OMG how DARE you ask whether a modder is ever going to update a mod. Great, now they are just going to abandon it because there is pressure on them and it will all be YOUR fault! You are entitled to NOTHING." So that is why I have not asked what is happening and the reason for the request here. But thank you for your response though.
  17. Let me begin by saying, if I had the skills to do it I would, but sadly I do not have that skill set. The Mod, Science Alert, has been languishing for months without being update for 1.1. I and many others feel it is almost essential to the game and makes the science part less grindy but not "automatic" like some other mods out there. Sadly there has been little communication from the Modder and last we heard it was slated to be updated in April. It is now mid-June and still nothing with few commits to the update and nothing for weeks. Since it is "forbidden" to ask for an update, we have no idea what is going on with it. We all know that RL always takes priority, as it should, so this is not a slight to the original Modder, I thank him for making this in the first place; just looking to get it updated now. Hence, this request here. Is there anyone willing to "fork" it over and get it functional for the players? I certainly would not make this request right after a major update, but seeing that it has been months with no update, it does not seem to be premature.   19. If nothing else, perhaps the OP could compile the build he already has and allow those that want to use whatever he does have, even if it doesn't have all the final bells and whistles, to use it as is.

There are currently two forks on the Bitbucket that seem to have a decent amount of recent activity and one is even labeled 1.1, has anyone given them a try and seen if they are functional in KSP?   23. I have read this post, thank you very much and yes I have read his post 3 pages back. Did you? His post was on April 2nd and he stated an update would be 1-2 days. There has been no recent communication, etc., so no there is no knowledge that it would be updated. As another poster mentioned with the license anyone can use it, BUT as another poster mentioned a modder is not going to take over unless they know it has been abandoned. I have been in touch with other modders, sadly I do not have the know how to do it, and they have stated exactly that; they would update it IF it was abandoned. I think this mod is one of the best ones out there and cannot believe it is not stock to begin with. So yes, my post WAS made with knowledge of the modder's post about 1-2 days from April 2nd. That is why I mentioned it was taking a long time, a month+ later.
