best of luck with the bug then, I think it may also be causing the stock heat-shield shrouds to disappear.

Here is some context for you sir (or possibly ma'am). when ever one of your engines is used as a root part of a craft ,and then one goes back to the space center screen, and then back to the craft, the engines will have shrunk! the same can be said for the old docking ports.

can anyone explain why the engines for the Soyuz, Polaris, Gemini, and Cygnus craft all shrink when i switch back to craft that use them from map mode?
