  1. The Stack engine is in game, but still needs some work, the direction of thrust was to the side.
  2. Hmm, I tried to get the landing legs to work, but something isn't working with it, so they might be pushed back till I can figure them out. I am working on the engine tonight, pics will be up once I figure out how the engine will look texture wise.
  3. Hello, I am currently trying to create a landing leg but the only tutorial I can find is this one Since it is almost 3 years old it is very out of date and not relevant anymore for most of it. (I think). I was wondering if anyone can give me some help on creating a landing leg, I have the item in game but it will not animate and I do not know if I have it properly setup in unity. Any help or being pointed towards a newer tutorial will be appreciated. This is the landing leg as well, just simple up and down.
  4. Depending on whats going on I should have a few more parts released in a week, I am going to try to have the engines and landing legs done by friday at the latest, depending on my schedule. They are the main parts remaining to make it a self contained ISRU, without them It requires other parks for the lander. I might need to redesign the legs design depending on how low the stack engine is.
  5. The radiator part has been created, just needs texture and implementation into KSP.
  6. That will probably be one of the next things to create, maybe the bigger non reusable (unless engineer is able to refresh) will take a full quarter block. Then the other reusable ones would get a full sized container. I will flesh out these tonight on paper. I am also dabbling with an idea, albeit in my head, to create a rover body kinda like the rover pics I added last night. it would include storage for fuel or electricity or even other things. Also maybe have animations to allow it to fold up to store it, although I need alot more experience to do animations in KSP, the solar panels were a 3 hour en-devour to just get the part working and I had to remove the doors to do so, but I like the way they look without the doors. Edit: Might just create a container with a back board that the science parts can be placed on instead of its own module. Will be less cluttered in the menu then putting them all into one part.

Currently having issues with the solar panel quarter, its doors work correctly, but after the doors are open there is no option to click for opening the solar panels, for some reason action groups work, toggle will allow me to retract and extend but with the extend and retract on their own action groups it only allows extend and retract does not work. Can anyone help?
  11. The first draft of solar panels, just have to figure out the exact process of it folding in then I'm on to texturing it. Edit: Textured and the container, doors, and half core are also finished. All three were pretty simple to make since I just had top scale them down to a smaller size, might be 1/3rd cord to be honest. Next thing to make is the Radiator quarter module. Now with animations!
  12. I did plan to add them later since I am still creating alot of the parts, but you peaked my interest on the cheaty super quick spec map, how do you do it? I have had alot of issues in the past getting it right with spec maps and since my parts are smaller then the 1.25m fuel tanks so a lower quality spec map shouldn't be an issue.
  13. I updated the description to include ISRU into it. And yes it is exactly that, when it is finished it you will be able to make a small ship with 6-8 different parts and send it to moons to supply small future missions and will possibly have an expansion of larger parts in the future.
  14. Version 0.02 is on space dock now, it is only a probe core addition in the same style as the other parts. Was planning on including an antenna but the config file is not agreeing we me so I will have to push that back to a later update. http://spacedock.info/mod/1160/RIAC - Resource in a Can same link as above but I will add it here as well.   15. I am currently having issues with an antenna, I pulled the config straight from the Communotron 88-88 but for some reason it does not let me retract the antenna. I was able to extend and retract the Communotron but with the one I created it only has the option to extend, even in the VAB. Would it be connected to maybe not having a reverse animation in Unity or is it something else? Edit: it doesn't load past it either, I reloaded datebase in game to trouble shoot it thats how I got the picture.
  16. Since the other Antenna did not work I did a redesign. Here is the new first draft. Will be getting this antenna and probe core working in KSP today and will have the new version up on mod releases later tonight.
  17. Antenna close and open first draft, after getting all the parts figured out for the mod pack (excluding the higher tier upgrade versions) I will be improving the textures. I am starting to dislike the grey, I am feeling more towards a general white/black texture like nasa uses. *Well I guess forgot about this model, I cannot transfer the animations over to Unity since it was edge manipulation, will have to cook something else up.
  18. Here is the probe core first draft ontop of the core, I think I will start adding specular to the models, they are feeling to flat to me. Plan to work on the antenna next and maybe the radiators but I honestly cannot think of a way to make them work, should I setup nodes on the doors to attach them? I think that might be more of a headache then needed so I might put them as a texture on the door but I do not know if the heat effect would show up.
  19. Thank you for your reply, but I think the confusion is that I am referring to the texture work in Maya, well you guys are mainly referring to the material work in Unity. I was mainly just curious about the requirements for these added effects in general, such as requiring a normal or bump map for it to properly pull into KSP, but it isn't bad to know that I do not necessarily need spec maps either. On the topic of Materials I will be switching to the specular material after more work has been done for the models. But my question was answered by akron, I was just curious if I would have problems not using them in my model.
  20. I get the idea behind spec maps, I had to deal with them in my final for my first year of college. My main concern with this post is about bump maps. With my current mod pack I am working on the model has a constant metal across the whole thing so a spec map is not really required at this time. Once I start adding more detail spec maps will become a requirement for the parts to create the full look for them.
  21. Some concept art for planned parts. Solo drill and antenna/probe part. Solar panels and enginers (stack and side slung) Radiators and new designs for already created parts (or upgraded versions) Sorry for the poor quality on the pics, I don't have a scanner and kinda got into drawing mod on my sketch book instead of in a digital program.

  23. Yeah, sorry I will be improving the album and such over the weekend, I haven't had a chance to refine it yet. The mod is mainly just an mini ISRU with required parts to support it.
  24. The Resources in a Can or RIAC for short is a mobile, small and compact mining IRSU for small purposes. Able to be stored in very small cargo bays and land on small distant moons (Engines released pending completion.) Even tho it is of small size and stature it will be well suited to supplying roving probes with required fuel for much less then a full mining rig. This mod is still being worked on but it has reached a point where others can try it out and give feed back on changes or additions. Most parts are partly balanced, I need to mess around with weight, costs and storage amounts a bit more but it is at a usable state for now.   25. The mod now has a drill, ore tank, fuel tank, refinery and a battery, along with the central core. Next on the docket is to add a probe core, a source of power (either solar or reactor/ or both) and finish the landing legs.
