  1. This is an awesome answer! So I get the input variables are the Time To Apoapsis TTA and Angle To Apoapsis ATA of the launch vehicle, which is great for an orbiter going for a direct-intercept of a space station where you can restart it. But anyone know about predicting a certain launch vehicle's TTA and ATA for a direct-intercept with a orbiting vehicle's altitude? Like an Apollo-style mission on the moon, lander going to intercept orbiter?
  2. Does anyone know, is there a mod or way to temporarily regain the ability to retract/extend unshielded solar panels again? With action groups or by right-clicking? I'm making a video right now, and while I'm all for this change, right now the looks are what is important to me. I'll take the mod off once the video is complete, and slap a 0.90 sticker on it instead. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  3. I second this. I've actually gotten used to Squad's mod setup after installing/uninstalling/troubleshooting/removing-whole-game-and-reinstalling-from-scratch. But if there's a <strike>mod</strike> program that does it, awesome! Also, I was going to say FAR, but with redone aerodynamics and Procedural Fairings making stock in 1.0, who knows if it will still be *that* necessary?
  4. I SECOND THIS! I use gamepad controls for aircraft, it's almost essential with FAR. Also, with my larger, bulkier, more unstable rocket payloads Please don't make it *MORE* difficult to get gamepad controls set up!
  5. Evenin' all! Happy Wednesday. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to the forum in general. Also, I just found out I need 3 posts before I can get my sig. So this should push me over the limit! I chose my name in the spirit of KSP, and something I think we all can relate to. Been playing for almost a year but just now decided to join. The forum has already been a huge reference for me and seems like a great community. (I do twitter, and the KSP announcements are almost on par with real ones) Now to cut the ribbon on my sig: Reporter: "Director, any comment on KSC's historically high percentage of failed launch attempts?" KSC Director: "We've never had a failure, those were all intentional! We just decided to have fireworks that day instead of go to space." Reporter: "Any plans to lower the percentage of unplanned fireworks vs. going to space?" KSC Director: "Of course, we like to keep morale high here! I always take the engineering staff out for pizza and ice-cream on launch day, no matter if it was a good day, or an all-your-experiements-are-now-fireworks day."
  6. Hallo Mr. KSP Wizard! I'm trying to figure out your equation in KSP time, 'cause Kerbin still goes round its' Sun once every Kerbal Year, so well... let's say converting kerbin time to earth time and back again is making *my brain* hurt! In your equation I can't figure out where 3.38 comes from. It says 3.38° is how far Kerbin goes round its' sun in one day. But an earth year is 365 days and the total numbah of degrees is 360, so...... 360/365? To get degrees moved in one day? And a Kerbin Year is 426 (kerbin) days, so 360/426 to get degrees moved in one kerbin day? I keep getting different answers, and feel kinda dumb I can't find where 3.38 came from. Or, maybe you really do just remember way more high school geometry than I do and I'm missing some piece...
  7. It seemed like all of my ships yesterday were getting the Kraken right after launch into insertion orbit. Then it turned out I forgot I had FAR flight assistance options still on and were causing all sortsa weird oscillations. DOH!
