I can confirm that this update does not break existing stations. There was a tier 2 power unit mission being offered before the update and after the update it is replaced by "launch kerbin statin" mission and accepting and loading the station completed some of the objectives. However be wary against the deadlines. I am playing with OKS and Kerbal Construction Time mods installed and some deadlines are too tight .
