The service module is SDHI. If you mean the ATV trunk, it was from Tantares.
Yeah, I know it's from SDHI, but there is no umbilical. How did you get it without the umbilical?
-
-
Maybe have KSP's aerodynamics mark the boost cover as an adapter, I don't know about the side fairings though.

Ahem. It's actually more realistic for it to be designed to fit inside a payload fairing as it's not a crewed craft. The entire point of a pod cover like the one in this mod is to facilitate LES usage, and would serve no purpose in the launch of a remote controlled cargo craft.
I was planning to use the ATV service module with a new capsule, so a payload fairing would look strange.
EDIT: Also, where did you get that SM?
-
Perhaps he finds rocket parts to be incredibly interesting...
As for OP, if you wish to be a hero, give us self leveling landing legs for bases on uneven ground
Didn't I say I was still learning the basics?
-
May I ask what nuFAR is and how to get it?
-
I want to try compiling the source code that has been updated recently, but I don't know where to start.

Woo new thread!
So question: will this fairing generation system have an option to replace the nosecone segment with an LES (i.e. generate a noseless fairing with a 1.25m attachment node like your Mk1-2 pod cover)? I mean, strictly speaking, when pairing this with your kerbalized Orion parts kit, an LES on this fairing system isn't really necessary as the Mk1-2 upgrade kit covers all your crew launch needs. But in case you want to build something fancy like, say, a kerbalized Soyuz or some other crazy custom crew ferry using this fairing system.
This would work for the SDHI FusTek resupply module SM. SDHI saves the day again!
-
No.
The ATV propulsion trunk (which, again, is for FusTek) is intended to be contained inside a payload fairing.
That's unfortunate. I'll figure something out if I need to.
-
Unfortunately, that's not planned, since the SDHI SMS was designed specifically for the stock Mk1-2 Pod.
My other add-on (FusTek Station Parts) will eventually come with an 2.5m ATV propulsion trunk with no umbilical, which will be compatible with either the FusTek Resupply Module or any other 2.5m diameter fuselage.
Will there be a boost cover compatible with the non-umbilical SM?
-
So far with the changes of 1.0 Ubiowelding will not work.
We already made the first steps towards a running Version.
Good to hear!
-
An actual cargo bay for the Service Module itself is outside the scope of this add-on - the SDHI SMS is based on the real-life Orion MPCV, whose Service Module doesn't have a cargo bay.
How about you consider making the umbilical optional?
-
I haven't seen a toolbar icon for this in my testing.
-
- Go to General Add-on Affairs
- Click Search Forum -> Advanced Search
- Next to "Search By Prefix" select "Request"
- Click "Search Now"
- Make something that people already requested.
Okay, I'll look at that.
EDIT: Nothing looks interesting at the moment.

Currently nothing made yet, at the time of posting this thread I'm still designing my first mod. If you vote for "Other", please do not ask for a plugin. I am still learning the basics of part mods, so I cannot make a plugin.
-
I'm about to test the current version with 1.0UbioZur Weld It continued for v1.0 - is it a thing? (Does it work?) -
It would be nice if you could make some sort of cargo bay for the service module, or make a version of the SM and the cover without the umbilical to fit some other cargo bay.
-
Why didn't I see this sooner? Oh well.
-
I don't know if you've read the past times I've asked this, but can I make a derivative of Gateway on one of my channels?
-
I'm getting a little trouble in 1.0.2 with HotRockets
-
Bob, I was wondering if you would be fine if I made my own version of Gateway on my youtube channel.
-
The Download ZIP button on the right of the repo's homepage grabs the entire contents of the current state of the repo. But otherwise, no, there isn't a link that explicitly says "Click me to get a 1.0 compatible build!".
I think you should probably wait for an official release.
I'll wait for it, but it's hard to do so when I'm planning to make a series that uses it.
EDIT: What I meant by "I can't find a build that is 1.0 compatible" is I looked in the config of the heat shield and it didn't have the KSP 1.0 heat shield module.
-
l
FireFaced, the dev build is available on my GitHub repo.
While anyone can download it to try it out themselves, the reason I'm not publicly advertising it like I would with a proper release is because it is, after a, a dev build. I'm still trying to figure out the aforementioned heat shielding issue, retune all the parts to use 1.0's new thermal properties for parts and perform rigorous testing with all dependencies / supported add-ons. All this, plus my commitments to my other add-ons and various other collaboration projects with other add-on authors.
Patience is a virtue.
I looked on GitHub and I cant find a version that looks as if it's compatible.
-
Is this 1.0 compatible? My guess is it doesn't but I still wanted to ask.
-
There isn't one yet, bud.
Then why are people discussing parts of this that work with 1.0? I'm fine with a dev build, I just don't know where to find them.

Oh. That explains it.
