Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!
ComradeWolfe replied to vexx32's topic in Forum Games!
Granted... The world rallies together, eliminating ebola, making everyone have equal assets aplenty, ending internal conflict, and those who lead us become much smarter. In short, we are the Borg. I wish resistance wasn't futile. -

Granted but you're only capable of having it. Doesn't mean you actually will have it. I wish I could have a day or two to myself. -

Windows 10 updates can disable pirated games and unauthorized hardware
ComradeWolfe replied to rtxoff's topic in The Lounge
I rebuilt my PC a few days ago. Decided to use Linux for the OS solely because of all the bullplop surrounding Win 10. I never liked it the few times I experimented before, but at this point things have matured to where it's a good enough replacement that I don't expect to go back to MS. -
Example: You work at a store and a customer locks their keys in the car... Or yesterday at work, a customer needed to catch a plane in 1 hour but locked her keys and luggage in her vehicle. No time for a locksmith. All legal, of course. ---------------- Never played 3 but I didn't like 2... Probably was just playing with the wrong crowd on LAN. TUBM is uses linux at work.

Jebediah exemplifies Kerbals' "xerox"-like semblance. ... That "x" really made me have to work for a real sentence. hclasnq -
I'd argue that for someone with no experience, Arduino's flavor of C is pretty good. It's simplified enough to make it easy and the majority of materials on learning Arduino are very good at holding a beginner's hand... Once you get the basics, it's close enough to "real" language for an easy jump if you're so inclined. Btw, if going Arduino do yourself a favor and buy a couple of project books. Online tutorials are nice, but books tend to give you a more cohesive A > B > C > D lesson plan which you can supplement with internet later.

What Fails do you encounter the most?
ComradeWolfe replied to Spacetraindriver's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I tend to get over-aggressive in gravity turns causing control loss, tumble, and eventual breakup. -
Before you even thought to get a Phalanx, I ensured that the manufacturer contract went to the lowest bidder. By the second volley, I think you will find it quite unable to fire. I also renegotiated your health insurance and family doctor to the lowest bidders. You start to cough from what you think is just a cold -- but it isn't, and you'll never get the treatment you need.

My dad drove 50 miles each way to a friend's property to get a couple truckloads of sand (big deal back then as he was always working and we never had much money). The best part was building a dam and seeing how full I could make it with the hose before it burst. The worst part was a couple years after we got cats, and I realized what that funny smell in the sandbox was. Can't wait to make one for my son, assuming we get a dog. TUBM has broken in to / opened someone else's locked car to retrieve a set of keys.

Flying a rocket takes a big pair of cajones, eh Slamones?

3/10 ... Something about that comic is off-putting for me. Kinda grosses me out, even. Also, too small to really see what it says.

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!

Granted. The entire surface of the world has been converted to Brazil. Lacking any oceans, biomes collapse and weather systems run amok. As the last few inhabitants of this new world contemplate their fate, an old gaucho proposes one last game of football (soccer) before the end. I wish I could be on the ballot for the US presidential elections next year -- not win, but just be on the ballot. -
Xan (and Sampa)... You both seem of a happy sort, and it's always nice to see love blossom.

Had three yesterday. Out of ham today, will do bacon. TUBM is an ovo-lacto vegetarian.

As if! TUBM is facing an important life-changing decision right now.

I use an electrode to harvest the power and feed it in to a giant windmill, running it in reverse and sucking you towards the blade.

Outside Ryosuke's Refrigerators, you must drift a sauce-making craft, capable of vacuuming its crew out into space, while eating them. At your disposal is a collection of meatballs, which must be glomped to create a functional dysfuction. Each fish has its own potato and will affect the way a cow flies (or doesn't). So spank yourself viciously, and get ready to try some Troll Science! The life has different book modes, you can play the Potato Mode if you want to explode and manage your own Snack Bar,taking on lessons and researching new snacks. Or you can play Sandbox saxophone if you're only interested in midwifery and worshipping the Grox universe without airbrakes. There is even a mid point between these two, Bacon mode.
