Probably will be more active when KSP 2 releases, been doing stuff with other games lately and other hobbies.

Haven't popped in here in ages - but damn I'm excited for this. Seems to be incredibly promising from what I see so far. Will definitely be picking it up.

Been a LONG time since I've been here and just re-logged in to post this, you'll be missed! Farewell @Darth Badie and good luck in the future!

Oh how did I miss something this big. I guess I should get back into the game. Been playing WAAYY too much PUBG recently. -

You're legally allowed to and if you could keep up the artstyle and quality I would absolutely love it! -

Same. I feel I've been in the serious minority when I actually liked the new IPS look back in 2015. Took some getting used to but I liked the UI more, it does need serious color adjusting, though.

Nah, a Ryzen 3 1200 is a great budget processor, basically an i5 7500 at a lower price and more futureproofing.
-
They really won't be more upgradable. Kaby Lake is the last generation of processors using the LGA1151 socket, so if you want to upgrade you'll need a new motherboard too. AMD's AM4 socket is going to have new processors for it until at least 2020, so that has more futureproofing. Ryzen also has more cores for less and single-core performance is only about 5-10% worse than a comparative Intel. Intel processors use a very cheap material to transfer heat from the processor to the lid, while AMD directly solders it to the lid of the processor, making the processor run cooler. Ryzen chips can't really overclock past 4.0GHz, which is the main disadvantage of them.
-
FX series processors are pretty bad, you can build a better PC for less money, it isn't that hard either.

Haven't seen the thread yet, but I'm going to Idaho to see it! It's a $135 or so flight up to somewhere south of Idaho (forget the city, haha), then driving up north of Idaho Falls.

I didn't draw the image, it's a years-old picture. I just edited it a bit. And now for stuck in my head, here's this. -

Oh no I started watching Initial D. Aaand the Kemono Friends OP. someone help me please -
Personally I would get the Ryzen because of how viable it would be in the long run compared to a current Intel chip. LGA 1151 is being phased out very soon, but AM4 is going to be used for multiple years, is cheaper, and destroys Intel in all ways except single core performance where it's just a little behind Intel.

Nah. Maybe @Dres.

It was all I listened to for a good six months three years ago. Just that song. I didn't listen to it for about a year and a half after that.
-
Nope. First launch is supposed to be in April of 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

Oh my god I was completely unaware Freeman's Mind 2 was a thing. Thank you for informing me of it's existence.

This is a bit more expensive but much better, an extra two cores and the faster RAM. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WNK8cc

Yeah? @max_creative

Has more cores as well, but needs the X299 motherboard which has the on-board "physical DLC" stuff on it, AFAIK, as well as having a relatively outrageous price compared to the cheapest 16c Threadripper, which is expected to be $849.
-
Joke. Get a Ryzen Threadripper or EPYC instead.
