Service bays, put a HECS, OKTO, or OKTO2 in the bay and put batteries, solar panels, reaction wheels, and other goodies in there.

Well, CKAN is great to install mods, you can browse through it and find nice mods, but Kerbal Engineer and/or Mechjeb are nice. I do recommend SETI for a tech tree, it is much better than stock. Also for spaceplanes I recommend KW Rocketry, but only have the 1.25m engines (the Wildcat, Maverick D and Vesper [or whatever it is]), those are great engines overall.

You need to look at new SSTOs, the blue intakes are Ram Air Intakes, those are what people used for air hogging, it was an exploit used to power jets all the way to space. I would look around in the Spacecraft Exchange for some, lots of amazing ones there. This has some nice SSTOs for LKO on it (http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/132671-What-craft-do-you-use-to-retrieve-Kerbals-from-space)

Put two on, but beware that they have physics and will make it tilt when thrusting.

Hey OP, you can replace the Mk2 cockpit with a Mk1 and Mk1 Inline, and still have fins on. Save a bit of money and might increase total Delta-V.

Here is a spaceplane I made a while ago, I call it the KR-71 'BlackKerb'. It sort of resembles a SR-71, so I called it the KR-71. It can carry 3 tons to LKO. I only have Ubuntu for Kerbal, my parents will force me to remove it after 1.1 rolls around. I'll still have it and use it, but they won't know. Unless they boot it up and see GRUB.

Yes, I do have Mono, I used it to open CKAN, but it doesn't run. i will try to re-install mono.

I had to do a fresh Ubuntu install, got some mods, and no software exists to open KSP.x86_64. it has nothing to do with mods, but there isn't any software that can run it. Anyone got anything (not wine)

I like both, new is great for sub-sonic, and new is AMAZING for spaceplanes and fighters.

I saw this and am so excited. I just wish they have the old Mk1 Cockpit but polished a bit like in Ven's Stock Revamp, so we have a fighter jet cockpit and the new one, which reminds me of the V-22 Osprey, but very small.
