Hitting G twice to lower gear.
BurnPrograde replied to BurnPrograde's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Totally not a big deal to press G twice. But I'm building a Mission Control Console with a back-lit annunciator panel showing when brakes, SAS, RCS, GEAR and LIGHTS are selected. So far, the gear button makes the panel reversed. (Lit when stowed and dark when deployed). No big deal, its just for looks anyways -
The "You know you're playing a lot of KSP when..." thread

When you decide to learn coding and electronics to build your own KSP Kontroller... -
Service bays, perfect for parachute deployment.
BurnPrograde replied to TimePeriod's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I've always used the service bays for antennae. Everything else I threw on the sides. Drag? Just over-engineer! It's the Kerbal Way -
This still doesn't make me want to go to Dres..
-
Aww, quit yer bawling. I bumped my Kerbal's shoulder and ragdolled into the Mohole. Now **there's** a bad day
-
"Whose rocketship is this?" "It's not a rocketship, baby. It's a command pod." "Whose command pod is this?" "It's Jeb's." "Who's Jeb?" "Jeb's dead, baby. Jeb's dead."
-
Man you guys are lucky. I had to learn KSP from trial and error. So much error. Waaayy too much error. (which I believe is the best way to learn)

"Immorally behaved Sus Scrofa Scrofae" I think it was called

[KSP Kontroller] Artwork almost finished...
BurnPrograde replied to BurnPrograde's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks, T-Bouw! That defacing stuff has happened everywhere I worked (as tongue-in-cheek jokes) so I thought that the Kerbals would have some fun with their co-workers too! -It will be an evolving project, since I only know how to wire buttons and joysticks (from building MAME arcades) but I've been learning electronics and programming lately and will soon include LEDs, SoundFX, and digital readouts. I've been drawing since before my earliest moments, so I thought I can come to the community for help regarding my wiring and programming and can trade my artistic talents Thanks for your kind words, btw. -
http://imgur.com/a/Pq2Ro The artwork is almost finished, my komrades. I've purchased my parts and am awaiting shipment. However, I'm a much better artist than I am an electrician/programmer. This may take some extra time. I will be contacting the community for help. In return, I can offer my skills as an artist. -FULL THROTTLE!! WOO!!! http://imgur.com/a/Pq2Ro

Well I do this kinda crap for a living, but if you have a good idea (or a good cause) I'll draw something for you! (The things I do for the KSP community, jeez -THEY'VE GOT THE GUTS! LET'S KEEP 'EM FLYING!!

- - - Updated - - - I was inspired by the WW2 Propaganda posters, I thought I'd splice one together from the 'Bad Piggies' loadscreen and an excellent artist whose name escapes me

Thoughts on stock communication system in ksp 1.1
BurnPrograde replied to ouion's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I really hope the lines of communication are dimmed down on the map screen or are toggle-able. I dislike a cluttered map view -
Since Jebs already flown countless missions and Val's the eager BadS, I always use her as a test pilot. Her remains are now atomized on the slopes of K2 from a misfired rocket stage and aero torn chutes. Poor Val...

Stupid things you noticed too late in a Mission
BurnPrograde replied to Leoworm's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I always forget what time it is... I'll be damned if I can ever stop playing before 4am. Blast you KSP for being so engrossing!! -
The sepratron, man. Sepratron!

Worst(best) puns for when something goes wrong.
BurnPrograde replied to Lord Bobyness's topic in Forum Games!
Spiralling out of control and the chutes tear off from aero and heat "VALhalla! I'm coming!" -
Thoughts on stock communication system in ksp 1.1
BurnPrograde replied to ouion's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I think Engineers should serve as a DSN waypoint rather than Pilots. Give Bill a chance! Engineers are the techies, let them drive the remote controlled rovers. Currently I have no use for engineers. (By the way have to travel to the moon to fix a flat tire -
There was talk about adding an underground prison on Dres, but after the word leaked out. Crime on Kerbin suddenly vanished. No ones likes going to Dres...
-
Line your runway with EVA flags, they'll show up on map mode, be visible in the dark and can be seen further than lights
-
He ragdolled during an EVA on Moho and tumbled down the Mohole. Unintentional Kerbalcide.
-
17,000th post. I made my first gravity assist to visit Moho. I saved so much delta-v that I arrived 3 stages earlier than I planned! Woo!!
-
If the devs implemented a Saturn like ring system on Dres, it would definitely make me want to travel there more often. I have a few thousand hours logged and yet I've only been to Dres once.
-
I noticed a Kerbolar eclipse while orbiting Kerbin.
