  1. Working SAS, all the editor bugs finally fixed, the horrible part rigidity fixed, the massive lagspikes fixed.
  2. Hmm, I feel like "it sucks" is a horrible thing to call it, considering C7 put a lot of work into this. I don't like it very much either, but it does work.. sorta. Also, isn't this the 5th million thread about it? Can we please only have one? EDIT: Maybe we just need to rethink the way we design ships with SAS? It was kinda a "plug and play" solution before, maybe if you put a bit of work into placing SAS modules, it works better than the old system. I haven't tried yet, just a thought.
  3. Quick side-question: Is the Avionics package now the same SAS as the ASAS? (Excluding reaction wheels of course)
  4. The Aeris 3A has a slight tendency to pitch up in my install. The ASAS takes ~5 seconds to lock into a new heading and doesn't really compensate for the upward pitch. I'll redownload full from the store and report afterwards.
  5. Yes, and according to my calculator, which never failed me, 7AM PST is only 2PM GMT. What's going on? Timezones are so confusing.
  6. For decent graphics capabilities, you could choose a Laptop with one of the much suggested AMD Trinity (A10). The problem is that AMD, while the integrated graphics are the only ones worth using, the single core performance, which is important for KSP, is pretty bad. You'd be better off with an Intel Core-i processor paired with NVidia dedicated graphics (something from the low-range 600/700 series like 730M, don't use AMD dedicated graphics, they have massive driver issues), but that is undoubtedly the more expensive solution. EDIT: You clearly never looked at the G series from ASUS. Also, if you have to argue about gaming laptops, which are far too expensive and thus of no use to the OP anyway, could you please do this elsewhere and not derail this thread? EDIT2: A bit stretchy for your budget, but a truly excellent laptop with good graphics, a fast i5 and a gorgeous screen. It also runs very quiet and is not too heavy, and very good value for money. http://skinflint.co.uk/msi-ge60-0nc-630uk-a954635.html
  7. It is a general design rule for SSTOs to have the center of lift just behind the center of mass to account for that. This doesn't really negatively affect the handling at takeoff. EDIT: If it ai'nt broken, don't fix it. Just remember that rocket fuel tanks have a lot more weight and more potentioal to shift your CoM.
  8. Sorry if I'm asking something stupid here, but I don't get what the point of SLS is. The Saturn V rocket in 1989 carried 120 tons to LEO. Is SLS THAT much cheaper or are these extra 10 tons really that much worth it? As for the poll, I think it's redundant because if SLS is being finished it'll do the stuff that Constellation would have done...
  9. 4-5 I've seen you quite often in the forums. (Or atleast your avatar, I'm so terrible with names) EDIT: I miss the old forum's anti-ninja function
  10. Update! I have a bit more time now and finally got around to fixing the download and re-including the editor. As you may have noticed this project was a bit on hiatus. I will be working on the plugin today. There will be a small update today including support for other formats (such as .wav , .ogg), which should sort out the sound problems. I also think I can finally finish the dynamic music by tomorrow, it's been done 80% all the time but I never finished it.
  11. I'm such a Derp! I totally forgot to add the editor to the new Release! @tncm The plugin will not load if the config is missing. You need to setup your music library first. If you can't wait, set it up by using a guide someone has posted earlier in this thread. Unfortunately, I can't fix the download since I'm not at home. If anyone has the MusicPlayer_ConfigTool.exe PLEASE upload it somewhere and send me the link via PM so I can fix my DL! Thanks! Sorry for all the inconvenience, I currently dont have much time to maintain this plugin.
  12. New Update! I havent quite gotten around the dynamic music yet, but its 70% done and will come soon! To keep some progress going, I implemented a Countdown feature. Press the countdown button, set throttle to full, activate SAS. When the countdown is over, its going to active the first stage by itself. Also, in the Spacecraft Editor, theres now a button to activate the editor music included in the standard game (you need to have the player attached for this to work). The editor music is made by Squad. Have Fun !
  13. I\'ve got a simple question: How does one control the main throttle from a plugin?
  14. Thanks for the info! One question is left: If I do vessel.checkLanded(); GUILayout.Label(vessel.landedAt, mySty,GUILayout.ExpandWidth(true)); in my GUI Update to check the values, the label at launch first shows 'Launchpad' but goes blank when the physics engine kicks in. Is this intended or am I doing something wrong?
  15. I recently bought a new laptop for school, I went for a Dell Alienware M14x. Its small, has a powerful nvidia 650m card and has good build quality for a reasonable pricing. (Compared to the horribly overpriced Desktops). Some people however dont like the way it looks (Not exactly discrete) and its also a bit on the heavy side for a 14-incher though I never had problems and I carry it to school everyday. When running on the integrated Intel card you can get about 4-5 hours out of it when not doing too intensive stuff. Beware though, when playing games on the small screen, while suitable, its not as good as bigger 15-inch FullHD screens. Also, it gets really loud when playing games on the NVidia card. It stays cold and quiet when running integrated though. Also, dont buy HDDs or RAM from Dell, its a complete ripoff, upgrade it yourself. Btw, i think i7s stay quiter and cooler at heavier workload because they are not as heavily loaded as i5s although i5s performance is fine for pretty much everything. Of course there are very good alternatives from HP or other manufacturers aswell, I just dont have any experience with them.
