I have the savefile that is still in that state. Can I get something relevant from there?

The same thing happened to me. Had a successful landing on Kerbin, did a EVA with one pilot (second pilot was rescued from orbit). The EVA pilot fell (on a hillside) and appeared to fell through the hill. Then black screen. Then to this screen you show (i dont remember how exactly). I think it is the tracking station without Kerbin. Also the second pilot rescue mission was announced fail (killed). Gamedata folder: All the mods were downloaded yesterday so relatively up to date.
