  1. This is due to how heat transfer works in 1.0. You're ship design is not insulating the probe and batteries at all. The entirety of that ship is not massive enough to dissipate the heat from a single nuke, much less 4 of them.
  2. You were at x100,000 time warp with a ship on the platform, until Duna was in the right position. That could take a very long time. The physics engine is constantly updating the position of everything in the game. The problem is, with 32-bit numbers, you will get rounding errors. The position your ship is in is due to these rounding errors. KSP tests the boundaries of 32 bit. Considering at has to deal with extremely large AND miniscule numbers in calculations constantly, I'm surprised it handles it as well as it does.
  3. If you resize an SAS module using tweakscale, you have to manually modify the force ratings. Sometimes they will not scale correctly. Too much SAS is uncontrollable even in stock. Also on smaller vessels having more than 1 SAS source can be uncontrollable. If you launched multiple sats from one rocket, if they were upside down on the parent vehicle, they could be confused and torquing in the wrong direction. (bast practice is to have all probes facing in the same direction.) Another possibility - it sounds like you may be using Better Than Manned? If you are using directional antennae, or an antenna in the chain is continuously powering/depowering, your sats might be continuously losing/gaining control rapidly. Make sure you have enough batteries on every satellite to buffer any SAS or transmission drain to prevent brownouts.
  4. Is there a headphone jack on your monitor? If so try using it instead.
  5. Oddly enough, the day after I made my original response, I encountered the exact same bug. Only difference is it was a very small rocket, less than 15 parts. They didn't reappear and disappear though. They detached normally, and at about 12km suddenly reappeared and everything exploded. This may be related to my other recurring bug as it is possibly a staging issue related to TweakStage. read about it here.
  6. You are correct. If you can read even a little code, do a quicksave during launch after you've dropped a few stages. make a copy and view it (do not use notepad, it will crash) If you ctrl+f, enter your vessel name, and scroll down you will see some parts still listed under the vessel.
  7. I have seen this when trying to salvage a broken quicksave. (Basic Radial Engine Mount from PPI was instantly decoupling on reload) I editing the part.cfg and removed the decouple module to see if it would stop. It did not work, and afterwards while testing in the VAB, those decouplers were constantly billowing smoke and were un-attachable.
  8. Basic Engine mounts automatically decouple upon reloading a quicksave, or exiting the game and reloading a save file, then switching to the vessel. Has occurred twice. I've been unable to get the bug to repeat itself intentionally. Both times were similar circumstances (CAREER MODE): 1) Basic Radial Engine Mount and attached engine both resized using tweaks, raidal symmetry 6 on first vessel and 3 on second vessel 2) Staging disabled with tweaks (didn't need decoupler function) 3) suborbital on Mun and Minmus, close to landing. 4) Game freezes, once it didn't recover and I forced closed, other time it came back after a few seconds. 5) reload (2nd instance was just a reload of quicksave using F9, 1st was reboot) 6) Vessel immediately decouples the radial engine mounts, Killing Bob kerman, 1000+science, and my dreams. Although I can't repeat the bug intentionally, I have backup of the 2nd instance's quicksave. It continues to do it under all circumstances. I've even tried editing the save and part files, removing the decouple module all together, and changing staging to last stage in case it was issue with disabling staging. I'd really like to save this ship as this is career mode and I spent a lot of time collecting science from all biomes on Minmus. Even just a workaround so I can edit the quicksave and save my ship would be nice. I'll just use old school manual radial mounts next time. Thanks a bunch
