  1. For surface bases, I really like the Kerbal Planetary Bases mod. Can't tell if the height would be compatible with your existing base, but definitely worth a look if surface bases are your thing.
  2. These are really good. I like the way that the horizontal one is small enough to fit under the set-of-3-rungs ladder part so you can have illuminated paths over a space station etc.
  3. That is how it works, yes, so all the saved games in an installation will use whatever mods are loaded by the game. Which is all the ones in GameData. I wrote some scripts to delete mods from GameData and copy other mods from a library elsewhere, for different configurations. (Note that if a ship has mod parts on it, and those mods are unavailable, the ship gets deleted.) On the whole it is easier to have separate installs for different mod setups. HTH
  4. For missions that require no particular skills or qualities, call for Generick Kerman.
  5. This happened to me when I tried out the 1.0.4-compatible version of Kopernicus with 1.0.5, but it is fine in stock. (The craft could not be recovered while sinking, but one stationary on the seabed - in 1km of water - recovery was possible.)
  6. When docking, you can switch to the target vessel, and bring up the right-click menu of the docking port you are aiming for. (Click 'control from here' as usual.) Leave the menu active, and switch back to the ship you are actively controlling to dock. The menu on the target vessel will still be on the screen, but the menu option will have changed to 'set target'. This is much easier than trying to pick out and right-click on the few pixels of docking port from the active vessel when you are still some way away. (You have to be closer than 200m to select an individual docking port, but at that distance it can be hard to right click the port.)
  7. And I certainly don't want to share a capsule with Richgas. Not hired!
  8. I saw one of these on the Mun, but that was in 0.90. It was big enough that my rover fell in and exploded.
  9. I have two scientists called Seemore and Adwell. Seems appropriate.
  10. The RTG: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/PB-NUK_Radioisotope_Thermoelectric_Generator
  11. That's an awesome mod, thanks for pointing me to it. It seems to be 100% accurate for Jool.
  12. No, much further out. I did a terrible transfer burn, so I had a much higher velocity than optimum when I reached the Jool system, and now I'm in an orbit that goes out to 950,000 km. !!! I have a ship following in 100 days or so (launched at the same time), I will try the same aerobrake, and I expect that will end up in a much more sensible orbit.
  13. Just arrived at Jool this afternoon, and aerobraked at ~192 km, no heatshield needed and nothing exploded.
