  2. So I've been away for awhile. Recently got the new DLC and started playing again after about a year off... It seems like all my rovers work fine if I load them out of the hangar, but when I export them as a subassembly and put them in a craft they develop this crazy bouncing. It isn't just this rover. I have tried 5 or 6 and the rover in this video I created brand new just to see if it was something with my old rovers. It seems weird they work fine if I just load them by themselves on the runway, but they go crazy if I bring them in as subassemblies. Edit: Just made a whole new rover with the same results. It works deploying from a similar setup from the hangar, but not imported as a sub-assembly. Driving me mad! The bounce from repairing the tires, breaks more tires!
  3. I would enjoy seeing someone try out my BanderStar... I believe it is currently configured for asteroid interception, but you can just remove the bottom grabber module and it should be capable of getting you to the Mun or Minmus for refueling and then just about anywhere: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24104970/BanderStar.craft You need to let the jets warm up before take-off and level off as soon as possible to build up speed and ascend like you would an SSTO. I ditch the ramjets when they cut out and with the mining module I start making liquid fuel once I'm in orbit.

The BanderStar (craft file) is technically an SSTO because you don't need to stage the ramjets to get into orbit, but I designed this to basically be a sort of swiss-army-knife machine with an indefinite operating lifespan beyond Kerbin and the ramjets just aren't necessary once you get out of the atmosphere. It takes off from the VAB. I have a couple different modules, but the mining module turns it into a theoretical SSTA. Dumping the ramjets and taking a mining module up. Mining on Minmus next to a previous generation BanderStar Linking up with a Science module and a base module after filling up on Minmus... it took two trips to fill up the tanks in the base module and now we're currently en-route to Duna (I have a contract for a base around Ike that this will fulfill).
  5. This is the Bandercycle, based on previous pre-1.1 bandercycles that I have thrashed on Duna... This is the bandercycle reaching over 100 m/s on Kerbin... the training wheels are necesary for anything over 20-something m/s I'm afraid: This is the boring thing I ended up landing on the Mun based on the bandercycle tech, the bandertrack 1. It does alot of science collection contracts and refuels itself, fun to use, but I plan to take some bandercycles to Duna soon: Craft Files: bandercycle bandertrack
  6. I have Elon. He is the only Kerbal I actually hired and the first non-orange-suited one I got. The rest of my roster is rescues. I saw him listed the first time I went into the Astronaut Complex and couldn't help myself.
