  1. That is an amazing idea. A modder needs to see this.
  2. In my Minimus refinery, waiting for me to get around to finishing that project.
  3. I go on EVA and find a few small solar panels. I duct-tape these together and use the tentacle (which I just stole from the lab) as a makeshift cable to the base. This setup probably won't last long...
  4. I've heard of it but never actually watched it. TUBM sends kerbals into Kerbol as a sacrifice to the Kraken.
  5. Same here! I usually don't want use up my meager supply of RCS fuel or don't have the time/patience to let SAS fix it. I turn on infinite fuel when I'm *that* close to finishing the burn. As I've established, I don't have the patience to redo the entire mission over a few hundred m/s of delta V.
  6. I am online TUBM has built a single stage to Laythe craft before.
  7. I feel that this game is 50-60% done, probably because I never want to see development end, lol. I mainly want more reasons to visit other bodies, other than science or achievement value. I also feel like the game could use a few more planets.
  8. I usually lose Kerbals when I start my gravity turn too early during ascent. Second would be EVAs, because I tend to go WAY too fast and end up hitting a mountain or something.
  9. False. The next poster has seen a rocket launch in person.
  10. My first probe to Duna is about 178 days away from the encounter, so I did some stuff in Kerbin's SOI. Launched the core of my (extremely ambitious) 3-Kerbal Duna mission into LKO. The Krew is currently on standby at the refueling station for the vessel to be completed. Messed around with some Munar base designs, for fun, and also sent another mission to collect some more science from the Mun. Quick question, do you consider using the Biome Map (in the debug menu) cheating?
  11. Landed Jeb on the Mun, it was the first Mun landing in my new game. The lander tipped over on touchdown, but I managed to right it by fiddling around a bit.
  12. Today I learned the true magnificence of asparagus staging.
  13. I was testing a launcher for my first manned missions to Minimus and the Mun. The launcher worked as well as can be expected in KSP, and I managed to collect some high-orbit above Kerbin science. Jeb went on EVA and transferred the science from the experiments to the capsule, and I used the rest of my fuel to burn retrograde. Everything was going well during reentry, until a message appeared saying that my only parachute was broken due to aero forces and heat, and I watched as (luckless) Jeb smashed into the ground at 100 m/s.
  14. Valentina became the first Kerbal in orbit around Kerbin today in my new science mode game, Jeb is still missing after his ship burned up during reentry. By the way, how do I include images?
  15. ASTRONAUT PRESUMED DEAD From KSC: Earlier today an unnamed, high-ranking administrator from the Kerbal Space Program (KSP) confirmed that Jebediah B. Kerman is indeed missing in action and presumed to be dead. Jebediah had been piloting the Explorer 1 spacecraft on its maiden voyage when it broke up during reentry. The administrator said that mission control lost contact with Jebediah just after re-entering the atmosphere. Witness reported a fireball in the sky followed by strange black debris landing around the supposed crash site. According to the administrator, "the most likely cause of breakup was high temperatures, due to the lack of a heat shield on the craft". When questioned why there was no heat shield on the spacecraft, the administrator shrugged and said that "the engineers probably forgot". No internal investigations are currently planned by the KSP. Jebediah is suspected to have landed in the Eastern Sea, if anyone knows where Jebediah is, they are urged to contact Kerbal Daily.-Leeroy C. Kerman
