  1. Ladies and gentlemen! I present to you the first (that I know of) off-shore Kerbal swimming pool! Have your Kerbalnauts grown angry watching their friends explode during launch? Did they just return from a long mission (being stranded) on the Mun or from deep space? Let them have some well deserved r+r! Kerbals can lounge poolside with their friends, perform cannonballs from the three different diving boards, or even grab a cocktail from Bill the bartender at the included cabana. Just don't let them stay in the sun too long. This craft is completely stock. Download from KerbalX and enjoy! https://kerbalx.com/Malaclypse/Swimming-pool
  2. Hello, everyone. Long time player, short time lurker. I've not done much on the forums before but was drawn to this discussion by something mentioned on the Facebook group. Apparently there are a lot of people that are really upset that they won't have early access to the 1.1 release. I believe I have a solution for this. But first a little bit about my KSP backstory. I purchased my early access copy for the low low price of $15. So far I've spent more than 850 hours in game and I've been playing since 0.23.5 (aahh memories). This game is fantastic. I love everything about it. I love the way Squad works so closely with the community. I love the modding community itself. There's really been fantastic work on all parts involving this game. The thing is... I feel that, of all the game developers out there, Squad deserves far more of my money than what I've paid. I've been pondering gifting a copy to someone on my friends' list that wants KSP. Then I find out about this rift in the community between Steam owners and KSP store owners. Now to my solution. I want to buy and gift 1 Steam copy of KSP to an original KSP store owner. Sorry, I would do more but I'm not made of money. Unfortunately I have no idea how I would go about deciding who's going to get it. I really think that everyone wins in this situation. KSP Store purchasers get their Steam copy. Squad gets more money. I start taking my lunch to work again... -Scott
  3. Since I came across the ALCOR Mk1-2 IVA, I've wanted a new type of multiplayer mod. This mod would allow two players to interact with the same craft at the same time. Both of them in IVA mode. Imagine having two of three seats in a Mk1-2 occupied by a live pilot and commander. They communicate with each other and handle different tasks. The commander can stage and fly during launch using the console buttons and MFDs. The pilot can handle transposition and docking. He'd also become the pilot for landings. Just imagine the voice chatter and feeling of immersion this would bring. Calling out rates of descent, remaining fuel, etc. Who else would like something like this? Is it even possible? If it's possible I'd be willing to pay Triple-A new release money for it.
  4. Sorry I've been absent. Life has been pretty hectic lately. I'll get back to ya'll with detailed pics of the ships used for wrangling and docking the asteroids together. Going to have to go through and document my ass off. =p Check back soon!
  5. Long time player here, first time poster. I originally posted this on a Facebook group but it was suggested I post here as well. I set myself the goal of chaining together one of each type of asteroid in Kerbin orbit. In all this took between 30 and 40 individual launches. If you guys want to see pictures of the asteroid tugs and docking ships I used, just let me know. I'll have to do some work to get screenies of those. I was in a rush to complete yesterday and didn't document everything. So here's the original post for your enjoyment. Well here she is! Zellena Kerman was very happy to receive the largest rock necklace ever made by Kerbalkind. Weighing in at an exorbatent 2,800 tons and just shy of 400 parts, this svelte moon-ish necklace will make that special Kerbal squeal for joy! Getting the class D and E asteroids docked together was very difficult. From there it was all downhill, though. I think this is the largest thing I've made in KSP. Rather, I think it's the largest single thing I've assembled in orbit. Yeah. Lets roll with that.
