Since there are actually four spaceships in that picture, I will rate all of them: Big one: 8/10. So. Many. Rings! The other three: 4/10. Kinda sleek, but featureless.

Question about three-center-two-electron bond
Woksaus replied to JMBuilder's topic in Science & Spaceflight
The molecule contains two 3C2E bonds: the two B-H-B bonds present. -
Question about three-center-two-electron bond

Uh, aren't the hydrogen atoms responsible for the 3c-2e bond in diborane? Some organometallic compounds contain 3c2e bonds: http://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/2012/CC/c2cc35304k#!divAbstract -
Sometimes, Career Mode Missions are pretty good

I have the same type of contract, I have to put a probe into a highly inclined retrograde orbit around Kerbol. How did you do it? I figure that I need at least one gravity-assist by Jool, and even then it would take so much delta-v... -
Music to Launch Rockets To - KSP Music Thread
Woksaus replied to Steambirds's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I know he released Patashnik 2 last year, which is in the same style as Microgravity and Patashnik 1. This is exactly my kind of stuff, thanks I take it you also know of Pete Namlook, Jonn Serrie and Carbon Based Lifeforms? It's also great space-themed music! -
I'm currently working in a lab where they did research on using metal propellants for Hall thrusters. It's promising because the propellant takes up a lot less space (metal pellets as opposed to a big gas tank) and is much cheaper than Xenon. Plus it gives you all kinds of pretty colours, depending on the metal that is used Sources: http://www.me.mtu.edu/researchAreas/isp/ http://arc.aiaa.org/doi/abs/10.2514/1.47410?journalCode=jpp

Music to Launch Rockets To - KSP Music Thread

Yes! Oh wow, great stuff, especially the atom track!I really enjoy Biosphere when my craft is already in space. Biosphere - Microgravity (the entire album): Biosphere - Patashnik (title track, but the whole album is great): Monolake - Null Pointer (from the Silence LP, I highly recommend that one too!): When I'm actually launching rockets, the Raum Und Zeit album by Neosignal does the trick for me! Neosignal - Kosmos: -
Play the FTL soundtrack by Ben Prunty, it fits KSP just as well as it fits FTL!

3/10 Giant robots don't do it for me, sorry.
-
Not for me, loved it!Anyway: 6/10. It's kinda ugly, but has a sort of BadS feel to it. Time for a classic:

Millennium Falcon - this one actually flies...

I like the way it handles, it's pretty maneuverable in atmosphere! -
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 (original and YR Expansion). First game I ever played and my all-time favourite Followed on close foot by Age of Mythology.
-
I'd rather see the equivalent of TVR-X00L Stack Adapters for Small->Tiny parts added, that would give you the same effect (more thrust/area), but higher versatility, since you can also use it for other parts.

[Showcase] Showoff Your Rep-Worthy Crafts
Woksaus replied to Redrobin's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Cool schematic! How did you make that? -
Aww, that's not true. I admit I prefer to use the original four, but I try to let all my Kerbals run the same deadly risks - err... I mean, have the same amount of fun.I don't think a new class is needed at the moment. In the future maybe, if new features are added that aren't covered by the current classes. For now, an idea might be to have two types of pilots: space pilot and atmosphere pilot. An atmosphere pilot would be able to use SAS in atmosphere only, while a space pilot would only be able to use SAS in space. Not too fond of it though, I think pilots are fine as they are.

Why does gravity get weaker with distance?
Woksaus replied to Rdivine's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I know there are (or have been) plans to build one of these detectors in space. The laser would be at the Earth's L3 Lagrange point, while the two mirrors would be at L4 and L5. I cannot begin to imagine the challenges in building this, let alone in keeping them perfectly aligned and in place... -
The only RTS games I've played are Age of Empires II/Mythology and a bunch of Command & Conquer games, and all I can think of when I hear MMORTS is "My god, the lag would be horrendous". 8-player games in AoM/CnC already take forever, imagine a game with 100+ players.

I know how you feel. It might be cool if Squad added an option where you could disable certain types of contracts. I'm getting tired of all the 'Take these two tourists on a suborbital Kerbin flight' contracts that keep popping up.

Oooh, very pretty! I will be taking this for spin tonight -
The Place-Anywhere 7 Linear RCS Port. It reminds me of Portal and makes your ship look like it's one of GLaDOS' drones!

Declining a contract makes a new one pop-up immediately, right? Saves you the hassle of timewarping...
