  1. Ugh XD Don't know why I never thought of that EDIT: It just occurred again, and I tried what you said, but it had no effect
  2. I believe that I have discovered a kraken, I am not sure how many parts it affects yet, but so far I know that the mk 82 bomb is one. Here is the problem, with steps to reproduce: 1. In the space plane hangar, attach multiple mk 82 bombs (and possibly other weapons, I will test a bit) to a stock piece, such as an h beam or a metal plate. 2. select the piece that the weapons are attached to, and place them to the side so that they are red. 3. hit undo (alt-z in windows) After this, you will not be able to use any of the UI, except for the right click info panels on parts, and the exit button, but when you press the exit button, it asks you if you would like to save, and you are unable to click anything except for cancel. The game does not crash, but you are unable to do anything except alt-tabing out and closing the game externally. As I said, I will test and report back as to whether this affects other weapons or not. I would send you a crash report, but since it does not crash, I am unable to do so. This has happened about 2 1/2 dozen times over the past week, but I only just put 2 and 2 together. Condor out.
  3. Bahamuto, heads up, CKAN doesn't seem to be aware of the update
  4. Haven't had a chance to try out the new update mate, but I'm sure it'll be great, with this new weapon, it's time to sign some Kerbal's fates
  5. If you are using a laser designated missile, you can move the targeting pod reticle and it will attempt to follow the new lock it is receiving, I know it's not quite the same, but it has the same basic functionality. It would be nice to have a BGM-71 with this functionality though. *EDIT* I realize, Bahamuto, that you are probably already swamped with new features as well as ideas of your own that you want to implement, and I apologize for making all of these suggestions, lol, it's probably just making this harder XD
  6. Would anyone here be able/willing to make me a config which removes the BDArmory items from the utilities tab, so that they are only in the specific BD tab?
  7. what about a manned module, like the science lab, that links multiple radars together, instead of just having it in the gui. That would add an extra element to gameplay, because if one side destroys the other's targeting control center, that team would no longer have to worry about linked radars, such as an AWACS provides. Also, if you were to have a location marked on one vehicle's gps through the targeting pod, others could target it as well, but again, only if you have a targeting/fire control center to patch through the connection. I feel like this is completely nonsensical... Its really frigging late and I'm tired...
  8. Sorry about the confusion with this, in the military, when an aircraft is circling a single point, it is referred to as an orbit. I completely agree, Orbital strike capabilities would be extremely over powered, and impossible due to the ksp rendering system. Basically, the aircraft would ascend to a specified altitude, for the IRL AC-130 Spectre and other variants, this altitude is anywhere from 1500 to 6000 feet, and it would cruise to the target location, or simply stay in a holding pattern until support is request from the ground and approved at command. Then, it approaches adjacent to the target zone, and begins to circle the target, with the target always being within the gunners' FOV, AKA Orbiting. As to this... The current version of the mod actually already includes a 7 barrel 30mm anti air turret, the Goalkeeper CIWS. It is fully mouse controllable and I also have one outside my space center linked with a TWS Locking Radar. You are right about one thing though, there is no space efficient turret of a similar nature that would be fitting on an armored vehicle, such as the GAU-12/U 25mm Gatling gun turrets found on the USMC LAV-AD, manufactured by general dynamics. Most images of it have pretty high exposure and aren't very good quality, as the last delivery of 90 vehicles was made in 1999, back when most cameras such as those used by the military for things like this weren't exactly hd, but I found a good illustration here that has better exposure and includes the important details.
  9. Thanks for the images @Nickvr628 and @Sashan, along with the AI control option I mentioned, these could open up a few opportunities for some pretty intriguing designs. Another possible feature, and likely a rather simple one, would be select-able tracer colors, that way you could set different colors to different teams or vehicles using sliders like what are on the stock lights. One issue that might prevent this is if the actual projectiles are set models, without the ability to change, but it would be a nice touch if possible.
  10. I love this mod, really well put together, and probably the most realistic weapons mod out there! Having said that, I have a few requests/suggestions that I think would be simple enough: 1. It would be awesome if you would add a radial 40mm bofors, as well as a radial vulcan turret. The vulcan would be inset into the hull a bit, but would have a smaller targeting area, more like the 105mm is now. The problem I have is that the existing vulcan turret is just to bulky, and un-aerodynamic. These two things would greatly complement the 105mm, and would make an authentic AC-130 possible. 2. and that leads into the second request/suggestion I have. It'd be really nice to have a function for the AI that allows you to click a spot, and have it orbit around that spot at a set altitude, like actual gunships do. As it is, the bank is pretty heavy, and although that is understandable given the nature of turning, it's pretty much impossible to get it to orbit so that all guns stay on target. 3. Finally, It'd be awesome if you would include a little bit more information on certain weapon systems in the construction tabs. I have been having a hard time figuring out which type of lock system certain weapons use, as have others, and this would really help. Simply saying ex. "...is a (laser guided/gps guided/etc) weapon..." this would be a really easy addition, and if i had the information regarding these weapons i needed, I would write the text for you and email it. Thats all I've got! I'm just now noticing the date on the previous forum post, so I'm not sure if this mod is dead, but hopefully you'll reply! This is a great mod, and am really looking forward to it's future!
  11. Yeah, I have as well, that'd be a great thing to add, I am pretty ocd about how all of my tabs are positioned, I like to be able to see anything that I might need, as I am awful at learning key commands.
