What he said!?!?!?!?!?!?! who cares if you lose some frame rate or if the game freezes for a second or three when ever you leave or enter a building at least you can play the game now. If your using between 20-100+ mod you should expect the high RAM usage. Same way, its no different. -
Unfortunately I can't offer any help with what you have asked for, however I can offer some help for when you have figured out and got yourself a clean install of KSP. 1. Instead of using you clean steam install for modding and playing the game, copy the whole 'Kerbal Space Program' folder. 2. Then find some where on your hard-drive you can use to paste the copied folder and play the game from e.g I have an External Hard-drive, which I use to back-up things as well as install games too, so in my case the game is run from '(E:) - Games - Kerbal Space Program' Now you can mod your game with however you like (note- the games folder is also where I have CKAN placed, If you don't know what CKAN is then you should look it up it makes Modding A LOT easier.), and also this means you can just leave the version of KSP you installed through steam as your go to clean copy in case you mess up and need to restart from scratch. As all you then need to just do is delete the folder of KSP you using then just copy and paste from the clean version of KSP in your steam folder. I hope that last or any of it has made sense, if not, or you just have a question(s) please just ask and I will do my best to answer them and help. Vitavoro

Just so your sure you are getting a good answer I'm just going to confirm that John has given you some sound advice on what to do, however if your still on sure what to do just say so or if you continue to have problem also say so in here, as I may have another way for you to fix the problem however it may take longer etc. but I hope John's way works for you and you can get on with playing, so best of luck to you Berke. Its ok I figured it out , is was the old " -force -opengl" (Not forgetting the space at the start either) and it still works like a charm my RAM usage dropped by about 40-45% FANTASTIC!!!! Vitavoro

Hi Guys and Gals .... again (for those that saw my last post) As I mentioned in my last post I use to play the game while it was in Beta, but then took a break until it was released I thought now would be a good time as at the moment I also have a lot of time to spare. Anyway, when i use to play I had LOADS of mods running with the game which was why I use to have my RAM running almost at MAX, especially if i had Firefox running. Anyhoot, after some googling and forum reading Im sure ...... well 90% sure I found a mod which lowered my RAM usage by almost half I was so happy, I should mention I already have 'ATM X86 Aggressive' (Active Texture Management) which I was also using last time as well as this other mod or program (it could have been a program that ran in the background I guess). Anyway I hope someone out there know what I am talking about or maybe someone just happens to know of a mod that does the same thing whether its what i used before or not. Thank you for the reply, and for the info on 'TheWriteStuff' mod it was just what I was looking for and for now it seems to work. However as for the mission mod you mention unfortunately they wasn't what I was looking for, but I am going to use 'Mission Controller 2' it seems like a nice mod. If this helps any more the mod I am looking for basically pays you for doing your own thing rather having to rely on doing contracts for money, and as I said before when you start the game I will ask you to choose to get paid for doing Manned Kerbal flights or get paid for doing unmanned (Satellites, Probes etc) flights, the more you do the more you get paid, and if I recall correctly it pays you on a an annual basis. I hope this help you or even someone else recall which Mod I am talking about, and again as before thank you in advance for any help you can offer me. Vitavoro

Oh also I have seen a mod which allows you to add decal's to your craft or is that just new and part of the game as standard (i mean able to add and move them around) ? I also use to use Astronomer's pack mod, but I see it only version 1.0.4 and hasn't been updated, if I was to download it and install it would it still work? I know the game would probably tell me its out of date but in beta I noticed a lot of the time several mod's when out of date still worked.

Hi Guys and Gals, I am looking for a mod I use to have when I played the game in Beta, I have just come back to the game but I cant remember what the name of the mod is, the basically paid you money for doing your own mission's and at the start you choose between either getting paid for doing more unmanned Rockets/planes etc or either doing manned ones. Please if anyone can help please let me know what the mod is called, if you want a more in depth description just ask. Thanks for getting back to me, even if you can get one of those mods working that would be fantastic, so I wish you the best with Galactic Neighborhood, but i also hope your able to get Kerbal Galaxy 2 working if they get back to you and sort what need to fix to make that happen. Also even if there is no possible way for both mods to run just having one to choose from, or even having both which we can choose either or depending on which ever someone prefer's would be amzaing, either way keep up the great work, you really have made an amazing program. I look forward to hear any update's on the subject.

Also in another thread i started i was asking about other planets/ galaxy mods that was about as i haven't seen many, and someone was kind enough to post a nice comprehensive list of what mods was out there, so if you want, and don't mind spending the time adding more mod's to CKAN, I would be happy to use that list and do the leg work in finding all the web links for you, or i could just post the thread and you can see the list for yourself. Also there is also Galactic Neighborhood - http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/128856-WIP-1-0-4-Galactic-Neighborhood-Integration-of-multiple-planet-packs-in-the-same-game?highlight=KerbalGalaxy This also tells you which planet packs work it and what is being worked on next along with link's to ones that are compatible already. e.g The Boris System which also isn't in CKAN - http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/70018 EDIT: I'm not sure if these two Galaxy mod's work with each other hopefully you can figure/find out if they are (i really hope so as they both look amazing), as KerbalGalaxies 2 has a huge new range of new systems and planets as you can but the other would mean you could keep adding more as Galactic Neighborhood got updated.

There is is a mod called Tweakeverything, however it was Tweakscale as you have said that I meant to say, I have tried both and i much prefer tweakscale although really they both do the same thing. -

have you to tried a mod called Tweekeverything to reduce the size of the intakes so they don't look as bad if thats the reason? -

Hi I'm not sure if this has been brought up in the past but I have noticed that the mod 'Kerbal Galaxies 2' is not in the current list of mods at least not for the 1.0.4 version of the game, in fact i even checked the list in the list of none compatible mod's section of the filter, however i have been assured that KG 2 is compatible with 1.0.4. So my first question is am i doing something wrong if so what? or is it listed under another name?. Second question is if it's not on the list is it possible for you to get it added on to the list of of available mod's? I ask this because although i consider myself fairly IT literate, I am by no way capable of understanding scripting so i wouldn't really know what i am doing if i tried to install it manually, I love this program you have it fantastically amazing, and i don't just mean as in for people like myself It is really without a doubt a Master piece of art that you have created, and I would much rather prefer and trust using your program to install the mod than manually doing myself even if i was given step by step instructions. Either way I hope your able to get back to me, and I thank you in advance if you do, or for anyone else that is able to answer any of my problems. Happy Gaming' Vitavoro

You also need to remember this was two control sets to be able to put this off, he was controlling both plane parts at the same with the main part he is trying to dock with he is using a joystick and another screen, while the part you see on youtube is done via another set of controls and another screen, so unless you have this setup, you may wanna skip this challenge.

Thank you Vanamonde I wasn't sure where to put it. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the reply, although may I ask (and i should have also mentioned this in my post with i will amend after this), I use CKAN to install all my mods since I really don't know what I'm doing in the sense that i wouldn't have know what conflicts with what and all that kinda stuff, however I notice that 'Kerbal Galaxies 2' is not in CKAN, is it still possible to use CKAN and still install that mod manually?

Hi, I'm very new to all this, and I'm no modder but i wish i could, anyway, I wanted to ask firstly, I don't see many mod's that add extra planets, is that because it very hard, so much so that most modder just don't know how to do it, so it left to just the odd few exceptional modders in the community? Also secondly, I have yet to come across a mod that introduces a whole new solar system, I thought i came across a few before like Sigma and Sentar but after installing i realised that was just extra planets for our solar system, has a mod been like that created if so can some point me in the right direction, or is it just not possible to add a new Solar system into KSP atm? Thank you all in advance for anyone that can can my question's and if it possible to point me in the right direction. Vitavoro. Edit - I also run CKAN to download and install all my mods in case that info is of any help when answering this post.

This looks nice however the colour's of Gredion looks like you spent 10 secs on it there isn't much detail to it compared to if you looked at Jupiter where there are so many colour's not just 2 with no texture if you get what i mean. but it is great that another person has made another planet mod i hope you do add more shades to the colour's you have chosen and put more texture into it, if so l will downloading it asap, but until then i will just be following this thread for any changes you make if you do. Also i wanted to ask in total this mod comes with Gredion as the main planet and then also Moe (Moon) orbiting it as well as Kofl (Moon) orbiting at a higher orbit around Gredion, or is it a diagonal orbit?

Thank you for your reply, how I did install Kopernicus before RSS so RSS overwrote the files anyway but thank you. And thank you to you 3 for your time in replying and your help. I guess i will just have to wait until RSS is compatable with V0.3.3 or what ever new version he has when its updated, again thank you guys (or girls) for your help.

Hi I'm quite new to this (modding etc) but i have been doing step by step and back up as i go and making sure a mod works before i continue, anyway my problem/question is.... I have installed RSS, RSS Textures (as it says near the top of the post), I should say at this point in case it makes a difference this is with no saved games, so i only a new fresh game, anyway at this point with those two mods i started a new game went to go look at the solar system in all its glory to find Only Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, but thats it no Mars, Venus or Mercury, and i also noticed that Neptune and Uranus Velocity was the wrong way round too, so with that in mind i thought maybe i just need to install Outer Planets Mod. So off i go and install that, but upon loading and getting back into the game still no Mars, Venus or Mercury, and also no new planets etc from Outer Planets Mod (i go no errors and i followed the installation instructions about clearing out ALL of the Cache folder from the Kopernicus Mod). So at this point I figure its the building that needs upgrading so I upgrade that to the next stage and still nothing, i can't expand it to the next one after that as its 580K, but surely if i can see all the way out to Neptune and far in as the sun i should be able to see Mars, Venus and Mercury, please please PLEASE help what has gone wrong, why are those 3 and the ones from Outer Planets not loading? Also this is a list of other Addon's which was installed before RSS (all are the latest version of themselves) As Required: Kopernicus Also: Kopernicus Expantion Astronomer's Visual Pack - Interstellar V2 EVE Active Texture Management (Aggressive Release) Planet Shine Texture Replacer Distant Object Enhancement (although Since the RSS was installed the icon's to use this have gone, So i haven't messed with this mod while RSS has been running) Thank you in advance for any help you or the community can offer and i REALLY hope it can get resolved as i LOVE this mod (I used it from the get go pre- Version 1.0+) Also am i right in assuming the mods to introduce new systems (Boris, Sentar, Sigma, Trans-Keptunian and Other Worlds mod) work with RSS?
