How do I build planes to fly in career mode?

I'm new to KSP and I need some help. I started career mode and I can complete the basic tasks/missions such as reach x amount of speed and go x amount of distance away. After completing these I have to fly to x point or take someone into orbit. I don't have the parts to build anything that can do these tasks/missions and I don't know how to get any more science since I can't complete these. Any advice? Thanks to all that can help.

I just started KSP about a week ago. I'm having trouble completing contracts. I've done just about all the basic ones except for 2500 speed and 100k away. I can reach 2500 speed and 100k away but I explode upon reentry. I never had this problem before with the other easier contracts. Does anyone have any tips on how to not explode? I only have the first tech trees unlocked so I have limited parts and controls for my rockets. Thanks to all that reply.

Where do I go to bind it to axis? It says the device is functional on my computer. The buttons will add but not the joystick function.

I recently bought the Logitech pro 3D joystick to use for KSP. I am at the setting menu under input and I can't figure out how to make the pitch up/down yaw left/right and roll left/right integrate with the joystick. I try holding the stick forward so it will enter it for pitch down but nothing happens. All that can be entered is the buttons on the joystick not the actual joystick function. Can someone please help me out with this. Thank you to all that can help!

There have been times where I didn't like what I did while building and want to revert/undo my last part added or repositioned. How do I do that? Also if I grab my rocket and move it off center, how do I recenter it? Thanks to all that help.

Can someone please post a link to a mod installer for me? I recently saw a streamer using one that all you have to do is click the check box of whatever mod you wanted to use. Thanks to all that reply.
