  1. Growler117... The 117 came from John-117, the Masterchief from Halo CE which was the first computer game I played, Growler came from Boeing's EA-18, badass plane and badaass name.
  2. 100 Years ago Roland Garros scored the first air to air kill with a dedicated fighter plane. To commemorate a century of fighter aircrafts and pilots I plan to do a drawing of two planes parked next to eachother. one of them will be a WWI fokker eindecker, but for the modern jet, you'll have to help me decide. Which aircraft should represent modern air combat? Put your suggestions down, I will of coarse share my work once it's done.
  3. Not bad at all! I would recommend moving the ailerons inwards or extend it to a full span aileron/flap.
  4. This looks pretty good, but unfortunatly you can only get a really functional Transporter if you use mods for some hinges and legs, then you get a proper ramp.
  5. Use sepratrons to make some missiles. Four per side would be good, like the BMPT Terminator
  6. Growler Aerospace&Defense industry presents.... The KF-17 Project started when the bigger KF-15http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/135212-KF-15-Reaper-Fighter-%28BD-Armory%29 was found to be too big and too expensive to be used on any mission other than air superiority. So Growler Aerospace&Defense developed a smaller, single engine multi-role fighter more affordable and adaptable. Download here: http://kerbalx.com/Growler117/KF-17-Falcon The Falcon's standard loadout, seen here is a pair of sidewinders, a pair of AIM-120s, and four Cluster munition unit. A internal 20mm cannon with 650 rounds of ammo is also avaliable for pilots with skills and guts. All weapons are provided by BD Armory. The four cluster bombs are devastating against soft targets, the KF-17 also retains excellent dogfighting ability after disposing those bulky bombs. This allows KF-17s to survive and escape the target zone better than dedicated attack jets or bombers. Disclaimer: Growler Aerospace&Defense is not responsible for any loss of military/civilian life and for property destruction. All craft and weapons are tested to be acceptable quality and precision
  7. 'Dual stage nuclear propulsion' sounds safe!
  8. Growler117 presents... 'It was around 3 o'clock that afternoon and we felt so screwed, My buddy and I was just standing there waiting to die, and then we see six of these clunky planes dive down firing their rockets. Within a minute the shoreline was on fire and every Kraken that came onto land was killed. I learnt later that week the 104th attack wing flying a dozen KA-8s have saved the island.' -Bobby Kermarski, civilian present during the Second battle of Altay islands. The KA-8 BACC is a heavily modified variant of the standard Orca acting as a Foward air Controller for other strike aircrafts. The two seat machine carries jamming pods and a complete communication array. The only weapons present on this are a pair of dual .50 calibre turrets. Both the KA-8B and the BACC feature extensive armor plating on the lower fuselage, this greatly affects the aircraft's rate of climb and handling. Growler Aerospace&Defense strongly recommends flying a full throttle at all times. We are however glad to annonce that a upgrade program for the KA-8B is ready and the craft file will be ready within a week or so. Download at http://kerbalx.com/Growler117/KA-8E-BACC and http://kerbalx.com/Growler117/KA-8B-Orca
  9. T-98 Condor The T-98 is a lightweight, affordable multirole utility aircraft, featuring long, unswept wings and a two seat cockpit. This craft weights 7.4 tons and is capable of speeds up to 200m/s at an altitude of 4800m. Javascript is disabled. View full album' alt='script>'> A 0.625m diameter fuel pod or similar sized cargo can be attached beneath the fuselage and paradropped, landing with cargo is not recommened, as it could lead to nasty accidents. Seen here the Condor can be converted into a light strike aircraft, although it's far less capable when compared to dedicated Ground attack jets. A 30mm cannon with 600 rounds of ammunition and a pair of 500 pound bombs are seen here. A T-98 fires off flares, note the solar panels providing backup power for the flight control and targeting camera in case of fuel starvation. Craft file at:http://kerbalx.com/crafts/5567/edit Enjoy, message me if you have any problem/constructive criticism/tips.
  10. Hello all This is my first craft built since I've restarted playing KSP this year, The KF-15 Reaper is a twin engine, single seat, supersonic Air Superiority fighter offering the Highest performance. The inspiration mainly came from the F-15 with bits and pieces from other fourth gen fighters. Mods used are listed in the download link. The aircraft is equipped with eight air to air missiles and a 20mm cannon with 680 rounds of ammunition. An AN/APG-63 Radar and an AAQ-28 targeting camera provides good fire control and stabilized view of any area or target The KA-15 Electric Reaper is the Electronic warfare/Defense suppression variant of the standar KF-15, It is equipped with electronic jamming and anti-radar weapons. A second cockpit was added to house the Radar intercept/Electronic warfare officer. The addition of this cockpit forced the radarto be moved on top of a single tail fin. Standard loadout of the KA-15, four AN/ALQ-131 Jamming pods, four AIM-120 Missiles and four HARM anti-radar missiles. This craft does not have the 20mm cannon found on combat Reapers. Download link for the KF-15 Reaper:http://kerbalx.com/Growler117/KF-15-Reaper Electric Reaper still needs some polishing, message me if you want the file.
  11. The SOFIA variant is beautiful, and I'm building something similar to your Sunburn, except on a much smaller airframe, perhaps your design is more realistic. Anyway good job on these practical and clean looking crafts.
