  1. XKCD has several KSP easter eggs, in both the comic and the "What If" articles. I guess Randall Monroe is a big fan of the game!
  2. The Ocean Cleanup seems like a viable plan to clean up the Pacific Garbage Patches. It requires very little energy to operate, and is designed so that wildlife is not harmed in the cleanup process.
  3. Birdemic: Sock and Terror- A horror movie where birds attack humans with socks. Hailed as the best horror movie of all time. (Original: Birdemic: Shock and Terror- one of the worst movies ever)
  4. I don't know. Probably, although he seemed pretty happy to have been convinced that the landings are real, at least . By the way, the video is just footage of the CRS-9 launch and stage 1 landing. It wasn't made by any conspiracy theorists if that's what you thought. It's actually some of the best, if not the best amateur footage of a Falcon 9 landing I've seen so far, its pretty cool.
  5. Turns out that this guy has actually been convinced that the SpaceX Falcon 9 landings are real after seeing two amateur videos of the CRS-9 landing! (Just to be clear, I DID NOT TAKE THIS/THESE VIDEO(S) AND DO NOT CLAIM RESPONSIBILIY FOR IT/THEM ) Links to the videos in question are in the description of the video above. They are just uncut versions of the embedded video.
  6. I was wondering what textures you used and where you put them? Thanks.
  7. I tried installing 64K with Kopernicus 1.0.1 and 1.0.2, as well as Module Manager 2.6.23 and 2.6.22, but it won't work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, and thanks for any help.
  8. I did exactly that, but it is still loading 1.1 when I run the game.
  9. I had the same thing happen to me. I tried what you describe, but nothing changed. How can I roll back to 1.0.5 on Steam?
  10. I also play it. I have spent at least an hour trying to give Earth a new moon by crashing Mars into it (with minimal success). I resorted to cheating by editing the velocities of some of the resulting debris.
  11. If you're reading this, keep in mind that I'm not a chemistry expert. Much of what I say in this post is probably incorrect . Although it is faint, its color can be seen with the naked eye (see image). If Jool's atmosphere was composed of chlorine, the planet would have a distinct yellow-green color, which it does. The KSP wiki also suggests that Laythe's soil, ocean, and atmosphere have a high salt content, providing some strong evidence that chlorine is (or was, possibly in the case of Laythe) present in Laythe's and Jool's atmosphere. Chlorine: That is also a possibility. If all of the gas had reacted, there may be massive amounts of salt (lets assume that there were also massive amounts of sodium on the surface, perhaps before the oceans had formed, which reacted with the atmosphere to form NaCl) in the soil, atmosphere, and ocean, which Scotius mentioned could keep the water liquid so far away from Kerbol. The entry about Laythe at wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com suggests that the atmosphere is saturated with salt, making it toxic. Again, I am not a chemistry expert, so I apologize if any of what I have written is incorrect or makes no sense.
  12. No problem. I have a pc with an intel i5 CPU @ 3.50GHz, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 video card, running windows 10. Still only getting 25 FPS. I will check vsync settings.
  13. Well, I really appreciate the effort put into this, but after following all the steps I see no improvement in FPS. I guess I'll just wait for an update.
  14. Tried using Unity 4.6.2 as suggested but now get: Could..... not preload global game manager #0 i=0 FYI I'm running Windows 10.
  15. Please don't quit! Looking forward to the next part! Going to try what you've suggested so far over the weekend.
  16. Does anyone know what the particle effects that show up at the space center and in flight are? It kind of looks like snow...it seems to cause a huge FPS drop as well? Is there any way to get rid of it? The mod looks fantastic but the game runs at 12 FPS. I'm running KSP in OpenGL and have 64RAM. Thanks for any help. Here's an screenshot of what I'm talking about: http://imgur.com/IzMGcE7
  17. Hopefully this is the right forum thread for this and thanks in advance for any help. I noticed that the Mach and shock heating effects seemed to become transparent when they are in between the camera and the ship. Not sure if this is a bug with KSP or caused by a mod. Screenshots: http://imgur.com/gallery/6Ugko/new Some of the mods (texture and visual effect related) I have installed are: 64K FAR N.A.N.A. Wildfire Destruction FX Stock Visual Enhancements Scatterer RealPlume - Stock Configs Dynamic Texture Loader Texture Replacer Kerbal Krash System Camera Tools Collision FX Please let me know if there are any other mods that may cause this problem, or if it's just a bug with KSP itself. Thanks again for any help.
  18. Thanks for all the help! The script is running perfectly now.
  19. Wait...should: if ship:altitude - alt > 1000 be if ship:altitude = alt + 1000 ?
  20. so, seems if ship:altitude - alt > 1000 should be + alt, not - ? Changed that and at least got liftoff, but the ship pitched over way too fast, and began to randomly make dramatic pitch and yaw adjustments. It was not able to recover and fly straight up.
  21. GAIDEN Crash on liftoff! ---- Cannot perform the operation - on structure kOS. Suffixed.VesselAlt and System.Double At kopernicuslaunch3 on archive line 69 if ship:altitude - alt > 1000 { ---- Help...
