  1. Yesterday, I landed a probe on the Mun... well, sort of:
  2. The Füthor 1 The Füthor 1's launch was so monumental in Kerbigen history that the universal standard calendar has a fixed starting year on the launch of said probe. But at the time of its launch it sparked great controversy against the three major superpowers, as the Federal States of Murcrar and the United Communes of Sovmard claimed that the Füthor trespassed on both of their airspace territory. This dispute would take over a decade and a half to be finally resolved, with the Deep Space Treaty stating that any space at an altitude of 70 kilometers above Kerbin or higher could not be claimed by any nation. Naturally, the Jerram Reich would later violate this treaty following the construction of the Reichraumbahnhof - but that's another topic altogether.
  3. Oh, wow... that must have been years ago in the Demo. I believe nothing happened on that first launch attempt because I didn't know how to activate a stage yet.
  4. Hasn't necessarily occurred yet, but I'm planning on sending a Kerbal to the Mun today. It's been a while since I've actually done it (see earlier post by me in this thread), but if I've done it before, I can most certainly do it again.
  5. I play KSP because I have a lot more to explore - the only astronomical bodies I've landed on in my 150+ hours of playing are Kerbin and the Mun (the latter I've landed on only twice).
  6. A map of Kerbin, as of the launch of the Füthor 1.
  7. If you want to suggest something for this project, please feel free to do so. I do have a general plan of what's going to happen over time, but I can certainly implement details if they don't contradict my plans for it too much.
  8. Kerboin's Spur A KSP Fan Project Table of Contents Introduction Nations of Kerbin, as of the launch of the Füthor 1 The Füthor 1 More coming soon... Introduction It was merely nine years after the devastating Great War when kerbalkind finally began to explore beyond their homeworld of Kerbin. But - as with most of the explorations that occurred through our history - the launch of the Füthor 1 orbital satellite was not one done simply for curiousity's sake. It was an exploration to prove superiority and dominance. You see, the construction and launch of the Füthor was orchestrated by the Jerram Reich, a totalitarian dictatorship locked in a state of cold war with the two other superpowers of Kerbin at the time. It was the third attempt by the Reich to put a satellite in orbit, which would somehow prove itself "better" than both the United Communes of Somvard and the Federal States of Murcrar. But for being carried out by an extremely oppressive polity, the launch of the Füthor 1 was to become one of the most important events in all of kerbalkind's history. It would usher in the very first Space Race of countless Space Races. It would also upset quite a lot of other nations... - - - I don't really like this intro all that much - but hopefully, the rest of it will be better.
  9. Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'll be creating the thread soon. How so? I may not be able to help, but others likely will.
  10. I'm thinking about writing a story/series (but not making a mission/save about it) that takes place in the Kerbal Star Systems version of the Kerbol system. In short, it would chronicle a large chunk of Kerbigen history, from the launch of the first unmanned satellite up to the establishment of the Kerbigen Federation (at which point baseline Kerbals and other sentient beings created by Kerbals have explored the vast majority of the Kerbol System). What do you guys think of this idea?
  11. This actually happened yesterday, but Val returned from my program's first Mun landing. I've never been able to return from one before, so this is a big accomplishment for me. I don't have any pictures, though; sorry about that.
