Hey guys, Years ago before I bought the game I got the free demo. Lately I've been showing the game to a 10 year old aspiring kerbalnaut and he loves it. So naturally I thaught of the demo but I can't find it anymore on the website. Doesn't Squad offer it anymore?

Hey, thanks for your reply. The contractparameters says: Have a facility supporting at least 20 Kerbals. I've noticed in the past a contract asked for the space but that was worded differently IIRC. In this case I think it means have 20 Kerbals there? (I have 5 allready) I need 3 engineers.

I just had to tell someone! For 2 hours I've just been sitting back and smiling! I've got a station worthy of that name, instead of 2 rockets connected end to end and calling it a station. I now have 4 different pieces all docked together in orbit of Minmus. I can't stop looking at that beauty. My space program's previous best was a flyby of Moho and an abandoned Kerbal swimming in Laythe's ocean. It's brimming with fuel and monopropellant due to over engineering, but that's perfect for my lander, so it can make multiple trips to the surface for science. I still need to bring up other pieces to fulfill the contract, not to mention 15 more Kerbals. That is doable since there are plenty of docking ports available. I've been enjoying contemplating everything I can do with it. Options that are completely new to me, it's great! Happy flying everyone, Dutchy45

Hey guys, I hope this is the right place for my Questions. Mods, feel free to move this post if not. A friend of mine installed CKAN for me (to let you know I'm fairly useless with computers) and I would like to know if I can play different games with different mods in CKAN? And if so how? Please ELI5, when I installed a mod before I had CKAN I needed quite a bit of help from people on the life chat before I succeeded. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I have the game for almost a year now. I'm not very good at it but no matter, I'm enjoying myself! The MPL can give a terrific amount of science points but I've noticed that it's possible for a second 1 to process the same experiments again. It feels kind of "cheatty" to me. Now, I haven't send the science points from both MPL's back to the KSC yet so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a very easy way to fill out the techtree. Am I overlooking something here? If this is possible is there a way to turn off the ability to do this? Thanks in advance and happy flying everyone.

If this is the wrong place for my question, accept my apologies. What is the lower right button in the VAB for? The 1 between the engineers report and the reset button. On the chat somebody mentioned wifi button and notification but that does not make me any wiser. Could somebody eli5? Thank you.

I'm in science mode. I don't use mods. I have 3 stations orbiting Mun, Minmus and Duna. They all have the Mobile Processing Lab. They have 950 electricity and radially attached solar panels. They cannot transmit the science they have before they run out of power, even when I turn everything else off. The result is a complete abort. They all have the Communotron DTS-M1, I tried engaging partial allowed, but nothing works. How can I get the data transmitted to the KSC?

Thanks StarStreak2109, You are off course right! I assumed that it was a KSP-term because I'd never come across it. Googling it would have been simpler.

What did I do to get past the first rank? 2. How does 1 move up the stages? 3. Are their benefits associated with moving up?

Thanks Starhawk, It kind of does n't make sense, 124 m above. But good to know. I did n't even bring a 'chute cause I did n't expect to come this close. I'm taking them now though.

I just got a craft to orbit Duna for the first time. I could contemplate Duna close-up, feeling great that that was by my own doing. It feels like a huge step forward. On the next try, to see if I could do it again, I got my periapsis down to 6 km. Never for a moment allowing for an atmosphere. The result was ultimate G lithobraking. Oh well. I had some fuel left to try to slow down, but before I could use that, I already crashed. So here is my question. Is "sea level" on Duna (and the Mun and Minmus) the lowest point on the surface? I've lost a number of ships to mountains. I vaguely remember sea level on Mars IRL to be the average height of the entire planet (could be wrong!) and I assumed that to be the case in the game as well.

Hello everbody, I'm a noob. Not just with KSP but with gaming in general. I'm retired and have no interest in playing World of Warcraft or some racing game. Before I started KSP I mostly played backgammon! Yes, you may giggle. Anyway I've got a few questions I hope you guys can help me with. 1. I haven't played in a few weeks and I just got around to installing version 1.1.3 Do I delete the older version? I think I red it somewhere. 2. In my account (I bought straight from the store) there was/is beside KSP 1.1.3 also KSP installer. What do I use that for? 3. When I first installed it a few months ago, I copied a Kerbal figure from within the KSP_win file to the desktop and it worked fine. There are however 3 of those. KSP, KSP_x64 and Launcher and as far as I can tell when I open them I get the game. They are different sized. Can somebody enlighten me? Or maybe I actually should do it different, I don't know? I would have hesitated to ask these questions if it was n't for the fact that I've noticed other new players got treated very nice here. So, thanks in advance

I did it. My first Mun orbiter. My ship was bingo fuel. Bob heroically EVA'd and used EVA propellant to slow himself enough down to go into first an elliptical orbit and then a more circular 1. While trying this he lowered his altitude a little to much and crashed into a Munar mountain. May he rest in peace.

First, let's see if I can do it again. Then an orbiter. After that I can start to contemplate a landing.

At last. Today I got a rocket to crash on Mun. I've had a handful that reached the Mun's SOI and flew past it, achieving some interesting flight paths due to the Oberth effect. I feel like bragging so I decided to post here. I had to make an executive decision to sacrifice 1 of my Kerbals to achieve this. Camnand Kerman bravely voluntered. His last words are now the unofficial motto for the space program. For science. For progress. For Kerbalkind

I've been enjoying a demo version and want to buy the game. I can either buy it in the store or thru Steam. What are the differences, both pro and con?

1 picked Carboniferous, but not for the millipedes. The oxygen level really went up at that time (even higher than today's levels) giving animals the opportunity to make use of that in really weird new ways.

Hello fellow kerbonauts, I have a demo version for about 3 months now and earlier today I asked a couple of questions here. Next thing I know I received a warning that I've got a pirate copy. It got all sorted out after some emailing and messaging and the warning was rescinded. I ques I'll never know if ever there was a kerbonaut who was warned after his/her very first post . Anyway, to my (noob) questions: Career mode; 1. In the "science archives" in "research and development" there are a lot of hidden reports. How can I find out what they are so I can do them? 2. Is the "Biomes" part of in the demo version off, or am I doing something wrong? I'm starting to really like this game and will buy the full version, but first I'll play the Demo. happy flying everyone
