totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?
qzgy replied to SmileyTRex's topic in The Lounge
Have to admit you're not completely wrong, especially as kinda a background chill music I guess. I agree though its a bit strange. -
Blampersnatcher Colanderman did a thing on 'Pengwings'? Never knew. Personally know Blueberry Calculatrice best for that detective thing, Sherlock.

Revelations of the Kraken (Chapter 44: Falling Down)
qzgy replied to CatastrophicFailure's topic in KSP Fan Works
I agree with what you say there, but it doesnt somehow feel satisfying for such an apparently easy way out of death. Historically, what has been dead stays dead, and its a bit weird now that magically hes alive! For me it was a bit unsatisfying somehow. I think though Burdous will have some more fun, if not at least as some comic relief..... PDF also updated. 106000 words. over 300 pages..... this is swelling to monstrous sizes and my word precoessor is getting slower.... -
Revelations of the Kraken (Chapter 44: Falling Down)

2 chapters in barely three days? That was quick. Also, not dead burdous? Kinda expected him to stay dead, but not having him die is nice. Hey that seems like an oddly familiar name..... -

Yay moar! *reads chapter* YOU MONSTER. you killed burdous. I liked burdous. Still a good chapter though. But also like, dead burdous. Unless it's one of those deaths that aren't really deaths. Doubt that though. -
I would have thought carbon.

totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
qzgy replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
At that point, wouldn't you just be eating coffee beans? -
totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
qzgy replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
Made myself a cup of coffee this morning to try and not fall asleep in class/at a lecture. It did the job, but I was on some sort of caffeine rush for a couple hours, enough to make writing a bit hard. Think it was a bit on the strong side. Think I'll make another cup tomorrow, just maybe a bit weaker. -

Cause I've quite taken a liking to the song, this -
totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
qzgy replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Until you get to the point of someone like Kronus where he uses fairings for giant fuselage sections. Then the fairing animation causes even more lag in the editor. -
As you said, I don't think there's much if any difference nowadays. Personally though, I would probably go for the 2x 16 just for future upgrades if you want.

The ones where you cold wet and miserable but end out coming out fine? -
Typeable control nodes
qzgy replied to Cheif Operations Director's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I mean... there's a mod for that. I agree though, it would be nice to do that. -
Thank you! It wasn't supposed to be a skeleton, I just tried to emulate a normal bishop chess piece. I agree totally on the checkmate idea though
-
Tried my hand at a set of pieces. Probably a bit too part heavy (about 10 per each piece, with around 25 for the King and queen), so with one side, its already about 150-200 parts. I think it looks quite okay though. Not so happy with the bishop though.... Edit - Clarification - King is the mini rocket. Queen is the mini plane. Pawn is the tiny little thing infront.

Split the ignition cable into three parallel igniters? But congrats! -
I need a craft that can lift ~6000 tons
qzgy replied to Exodus_Solis's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
May I just ask why you need a 6000 ton payload? Is it not possible to break it into smaller pieces and send it up as smaller payloads? That might be a bit easier plus you don't have to worry about a giant 6000 ton mass and the inevitable computer killing part count. -
totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
qzgy replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
To be honest, not quite exactly sure. I think part of it is because the teacher likes star wars (all of them), but the main reason was to watch it to discuss something about how technology and computers are used in it (computer science class) I wish. That would be fun actually. -

I was required to watch Star Wars: Episode 1 as homework for class. It is also the first time that I've watched star wars (at least that one) My thoughts? Meh. Tiny kid's acting needs work. CGI needs an upgrade. Was quite ok over all though. -
Shiny. Are we not at all concerned about the really big fins near the front affecting the stability of the rocket? Or even the canards? Looks great but it feels like it would prone to flipping.... Abort motors are good though.

Also topologically speaking, the beer and and the bacon are next to each other, without any boundary. (I think at least)

I've used a Saitek ST290 Pro when I rarely play with a stick. Dont know the price, but it does the job pretty well. I will note though that (although it might just be this one or a common problem) that it does sometimes have a tendency to drift in KSP after a long time without using it. Not sure why but eh.
