Dear, Ferram4 I have been having an issue with preformance on aircraft with high part counts, my framerate seems fine but it gets very choppy in the space plane hanger. It varies with the parts I use but I usually start noticing it when the craft has around 125 to 200 parts and it happens if I have other mods and if I just have FAR. I do not get this issue once I launch the aircraft and I have tried turning the settings down. I also tried making one 1,300 part craft in a fresh install and it ran perfectly smoothly in the SPH but when I installed FAR the game became incredibly choppy while viewing it. I put together this video to show you what I mean by choppy, the quality isn't great but it shows off the issue well enough. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? The first two clips are of a completely fresh install where I made a large aircraft then moved the camera around with FAR installed then without. The second two clips show the same thing but with a lower part count craft made with lots of B9 parts, I also had DYJs GAU-19 and Infernal Robotics installed. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Do others get this issue or am I the only one? Relevant system specs for reference: CPU: 1090t hexacore clocked at 3.9ghz RAM: 8gb of DDR3 GPU: 7870, was not overclocked for video I have decent cooling for everything so I don't think anything is overheating, Coretemp says my CPU hasn't gone past 45c and my GPU rarely goes past 50c when not overclocked. I tried updating my video card drivers to the latest beta but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure if they will do you any good but here are the .craft files of the ships in the video. One is stock (BTBS-1) and the other (FBMCH-2 CRD 1 A3) requires B9 aerospace and Infernal Robotics, neither of them actually fly yet. Anyway, keep up the awesome work, I really love this mod! Note: I guess you released a new version while I was writing this, I tried it and I still get the same issue though.

Sorry if this has been asked before Bac9 (I couldn't find anything with the search function), but do you have any plans to make any higher visibility cockpits like what some millitary aircraft have (mostly fighters)? I mean something that has good forward visibility like the MK1 cockpit but also good visibility to the sides, maybe something like an F-15 cockpit. Anyway I really love this mod I think the new engines are amazing so thanks for the hard work!

I have finished the battleship... for now. I give you the Hydrofoil Battleship MK III posiden variant G I will attach a zip file with a lesser version of the battleship that doesn\'t use as many edited parts and one edited stock part that helps when making sea ships (really tough wing with less lift). I think all it requires now is the strut from Nova Punch, Jellycubes railgun and damned robotics though I could have missed something. Nova punch http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4180.0 Jellycubes stuff http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4886.0 Damned robotics http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=10662.0 -

Unfortunately making a battleship is proving harder than I thought for all the wrong reasons though I do have a semi complete version. The problem I have is not related to handling, appearance, launching the ship or top speed on water, no it all comes down to the games preformance on my system. I only get somewhere between 5 and 10 fps with this thing and I didn\'t add the ammo yet! I don\'t think I will be able to share this version without replacing some things or getting permission from DYJ since it uses modified (slower for more precision) rotatrons on the turrets. I also had to modify (well duplicate and modify the copy) the wing looking parts to act as hydrofoils since the normal ones blow up when you go to fast (Just reduced lift and increased impact resistance and max torque). It uses some struts from the nova punch pack, parts from damned robotics, jellycubes railguns and engines from damned aerospace. Without further delay I give you the 'Heavy Battlship MKII D' (I will give it a better name when I finish). It\'s an album http://imgur.com/a/L1Q4U#0 She is an amphibious hydrofoil battleship that has 12 railguns, and a top speed of 46 knots (that\'s 23.7m/s or 53mph). Well back to working on an improved preformance version of the battleship, an up loadable (but possibly inferior) version of the new ship and maybe an MLRS! -

I built a main battletank using modified damned robotics parts (modified so the wheels spin quickly). You should probably expand the video, it\'s kind a low quality and it still seems to load quickly enough in HD. The tank has a tank like shape, a com antenna, armor panels, 10 wheels, a turret, a driver camera, a gunner camera, a commander camera pod, a main railgun and a coaxial laser so it is very tank like. It\'s pretty much like Mokingking said, it\'s pretty fragile and not that fast. I can\'t make it much faster without using a cart type addon or the crawler wheels since making a rotatron with a wheel on it spin too fast causes the whole thing to flip around. I could make a tougher one if I duplicated and modified a bunch of the parts and made them more impact and heat resistant. I might also try to make a MLRS type thing and maybe a few large warships some time this week though I can\'t guarantee that I will do that. -
The woes of building a space-plane.

What I have noticed is that large planes that have wings made up of many pieces are much easier to make than little planes. When you balance a little plane you have to do it extremely carefully because you can\'t adjust the wing lift values of each wing, only the position and angle. When you balance a large plane you can just kind haphazardly add or remove wing parts to change the balance. It also seems that big planes with lots of wings and only a few fuel tanks can fly extremely flat while holding an altitude (no pointing the nose upward for level flight). Take a look at this low quality video of one of my better aircraft. I think until we can adjust the amount of fuel in each fuel tank or the lift each wing has we won\'t be able to make little planes that fly well very easily (it can still be done, it just seems to take more effort or luck), for now just try making some big planes (remember to use some struts on the wings or they get all bendy). Here are some reference screenshots of the aircraft. http://imgur.com/a/yik1Q#0 -
Here is the XFBC 101 C or Experimental Flying Battlecruiser model 101 variant C, hopefully I didn\'t break any of the rules. http://imgur.com/a/0YErs#0 It uses 66 MK3 fuselages and somewhere between 65 and 75 wings. The XFBC 101 C is one of the better handling airships I have made (the only ones that were better use damned robotics rotatrons to pivot engines), it turns very smoothly and requires very little pilot input to keep it from crashing. While it requires its nose to be pointed upwards to achieve level flight it can fly upside down to bombard the ground. Thanks to all the fuel tanks it can fly for a very long time though it will eventually become unbalanced from fuel loss. The Damned Robotics joints and struts on the front make takeoff and landing very easy as they not only pivot the nose up on takeoff but they also act as suspension on landing.

There are some nice free photo editing programs that you can use for textures like GIMP and Paint.NET. I remember a lot of people from Crymod used Paint.NET for texturing though I always heard about GIMP when people talked about free Photoshop alternatives. I don\'t have much experience with either so you might try them both and decide for yourself which is better. Here is a link to get GIMP http://www.gimp.org/ Here is a link to get Pain.NET http://www.getpaint.net/
