  1. You can get Dxtory for around 3600 yen, or 36USD, which off the top of my head is like 22ish pounds. this is probably the best screen recorder because it lets you play with a lot of the settings and is really high quality. That is its downside also because it be a little complicated.
  2. There are no mods used since a) This is not in game I modeled everything in MODO 701 for an upcoming video
  3. So update: I added a little bit of detail to the Hangar section, but I halted there because I want to learn rigging in modo so I can make a more dynamic model/animation. I have some college orientation stuff going on this week, so I don't think I will be able to do anything until next Tuesday. Until then, here is a sketchfab model for you to look at. Those seemingly gaps between sections were temp docking ports that were too high poly for SketchFab.
  4. As far as I know, there is no official way to get a hold of in game assets. Some people use programs like NinjaRipper to get a hold of assets in RAM, but there is nothing official that I know of. If there is, let me know!
  5. This game definitely has its moments. One time I simply switched to a station around Kerbin, started doing an EVA and then it froze and gave my computer a Kernal Panic (Mac version of a BSoD). If you can reproduce the bug, file a bug report or record a video. Remember, the game is only in Alpha
  6. So, Pepsi fueled update: Finished the Low Poly Model (Everything past the Fusion/Solar Reactor is low poly, the Propulsion and FS Reactor are mostly high poly). Now I have a sense of what the final product shall be along with general scale and layout. Making a LowPoly 3d Model before the main one is a really good technique to do. If you don't, its like trying to paint the Mona Lisa with no rough sketching before. Tomorrow I shall start the High Poly Engineering and Hangar Modules! Now sleep.
  7. That would be amazing! I would definitely need to make a lower poly count model for that. Some of the parts I'm modeling are pushing 5,000 polys on the small nurnie bits.
  8. So, quick update 1) I've altered the Solar Panel configuration for a more efficient use of space (heheheh). I'm also going to add higher poly, longer solar panels later on. 2) I've also planned out the rest of the ship in a crude drawing as seen here. *Also happy 'MERIKA day
  9. Gracias. I just got a Wacom tablet today so I can paint some way nicer textures than before.

Cool! What are the specs on your computer? I bet you 10 clams they are not better than mine!
  11. Freaking awesome man! A little CC here, it looks like your assets are picking up color from the grass and giving it a greenish tint I'm not sure how 3DSmax handles it, but in the program I use (modo), I would make the grass material only visible to camera and not to reflections/refractions. But overall, the detail in your modeling and is sweet! 9/10!
  12. Update: I've modeled some new assets, but have yet to add them to the main craft. I did add some surface detail to the Power Module, but have yet to texture it. Here is a video of the current range of motion. Currently, the solar panels only rotate on one axis of rotation. If I can, I will get them to rotate in line with the craft like is already done and have them rotate on their own axis perpendicular to the craft.
  13. This is a WIP of a section of an Interplanetary Colonization Craft model that I have been working on for the last couple of days. As you can see, only the fuel section is fully textured and modeled. That white capsuloid is going to be the engine/energy capsule and it still needs modeling and texturing. The final ship will be about 3 times longer than this. This will either a) Become part of a 2 minute video in which the real world and the KSP world collide, or just a set of pretty pictures. I still have around 1.5 months before I head off for University, so hopefully I can get it done by then. iBotz
  14. It is virtually the exact same process. You locate your KSP folder, open it, Go to game data and drop the mod parts in there,
  15. So using 100km as the end of the Earth's atmosphere that is useful for aerodynamic lift (the Kármán Line) and using some basic math (370-400km and 70km for the end of Kerbin's atom) for ISS, the ISS would be about 259km in orbit. It may look different because Kerbin is smaller than Earth.
  16. Some consider it cheating, but hey, if you want to have a greater part inventory to choose from to vary the game play, then have at it. Whatever floats your boat my friend.
  17. So, I decided to create an 8k image (7680x4320) (10mb). https://www.dropbox.com/s/la1ob3wak4fcdsb/Untitled.JPG that took about an hour to render, so a 1920x1080 should be minutes. Ill try and have that up tonight.
  18. In the program I use, modo 601, there is a massive library of noise presets. I used one that created black and white bands, and made loop around on itself. I then adjusted the colors. If you look in the image i posted showing the "behind the scenes" specifically on the list to the right, you can see a material called rings and all of the noise patterns that compose it.
  19. I could render a 5K image if I choose to, so a 1920x1080 is nothing. Tell me which one you like and when I have a moment, I'll pop it up with a Duna attempt maybe
  20. Here is a little glimpse of how it was made, mainly focusing on the shader tree. http://i.imgur.com/aJCs4.jpg If you guys would like, I can try and make a video explaining it all.
  21. Here are some renders of what I think Moho could look like. I can see why the lava was delayed because it is really hard to make it look convincing. http://imgur.com/a/apzTN
  22. Pretty rad bro. Awesome lens flare
  23. Thanks! I use a program called modo 601 by Luxology. All of the planets are generated procedurally, so I can make hundreds of different variations. That last image took about 2 hours to render on my 16 core machine!
  24. Thanks! I plan on doing a flyby of the Kerbol System once I can make high res Kerbin Maps.
  25. http://imgur.com/a/9m1vM The first is what I imagine Eve looking like once they get the clouds in. The rest are what I imagine the ringed moon looking like in the next planet additions. -iBotz
