  1. Does anyone know if you can take a save file for a PS4, and copy it to an external HD?
  2. I just posted in the PS4 section how mine was corrupted at about 10-15 hrs. That's a shame to see 250hrs just disappear...you have my sympathies
  3. PS4 Version Ran into a very depressing bug a couple days ago. Was playing in career mode, and finally reached the point where I was able to buy some space plane parts. I had no problem with the game prior, and actually had 2 saved files for separate career campaigns. Upon leaving the hanger to go to the runway, the game simply froze. I waited about 3-4 minutes before hitting the PS button, and manually closing the application. The game closed and I got an error message. This isn't the first time that the game has crashed, so I didn't think much of it. However, when I went back into the game, it said that both of my saved games were corrupted and should be deleted. So 10-15 hrs of messing around, entirely gone. I know I'm not the first person to post this. Squad, or porters, I don't care who, but this needs to be addressed. Nothing loses a customer faster than causing their time and involvement to be entirely corrupted and worthless.
  4. I was looking at the instructions in those pictures (thank you by the way!) and I didn't see the button combination required in order to bring up the "default controls", such as landing gear, or turning on lights, or such. Did I miss that somewhere?
  5. Yeah, I misread and cleared it up, up above.
  6. Ah yes, I misread that (typed on phone between meetings). Yes, Star and I are saying the same thing. That's my bad. I actually played the career mode yesterday for a couple hours, and could get a ship up on a solid booster about 10km, and then tested the liquid booster to 40km, but now trying to get into orbit, I'm having a heck of a time. Either too much thrust from the tall solid booster - stacked 2 in stages since I didn't get far with it after liftoff, but then burn up by acending too quickly. I could do just the liquid booster with many fuel tanks, but that's so expensive in comparison. That, I'm ok with, as its trial and error, I just wanted more detail in the tutorials, that's all.
  7. Couldn't agree less, its a matter of convenience. A PC gamer can alt+tab back to the internet to look up something quickly. Or close the game quickly and get into a browser to get what they need. A console gamer, a computer is rarely in the same location. So everytime you need something, its a leave, go to another room, get the computer (unless someone else has it), and then get what you need, then go back.
  8. I still don't know if this will apply to the tutorials, but I can surely take a look. However, it still doesn't solve the fundamental problem of the lack of instruction in this game though.
  9. How do I bring up the menu on a PS4 so I can use unlimited fuel? And can I use it just on tutorials only? I noticed it was in the "Settings" when the game first started, but I didn't want to have it on all the time and assumed it wouldn't apply to tutorials.
  10. I figure I'm not the first person to feel this way, but I have to ask, why is there so little instruction with this game? Many of the tutorials give you limited fuel, tell you to "pick" a route (I'm focusing on the mun part 1), but then leave you stranded when you run out of fuel because you didn't pick the "right" route? Or if I pick the wrong route, and am trying to correct that, so I can finish the tutorial, why do I not have enough fuel to fix my mistake? The Point of the Tutorial is to learn, but how can you learn when you don't know what you did wrong to cause you to be low on fuel as it is? This also applies to the docking tutorial. Multiple times I've gotten close to the stranded ship, only to run out of fuel because the vague instructions didn't give me exactly where to go? It isn't fun to spend 20 minutes on a tutorial, only to run out of fuel and not be able to finish it. Then spend the next 2 hours trying to determine why it keeps happening to no avail? Moral of the story, can you please either make your instructions more specific (almost a hand holding tutorial), or turn on UNLIMITED fuel during tutorials so I can amend my mistakes and complete the lesson? My second gripe with instructions is the missions at Mission control during the career mode. For example, the missions right off the bat with "crew report". I sat for 20-30 minutes trying to find the option of crew report. It wasn't until I cheated and looked on youtube that I realized I had to be "on the launch pad, click the Command pod, and hit "O" " NEVER, not once, was this addressed anywhere. How can anyone NOT get frustrated with this game, if you're not telling them where to find the things they need to do? The instructions for that contract should have told you where to find it, so that the contract was essentailly a learning skill opportunity. Furthermore, nothing explains WHAT the crew report does...I just know it exists now. This also applies to the tourist missions. I sat for quite a while trying to figure how what these tourist missions meant, and these are some of the FIRST missions. These should be the most straight forward, and they aren't. It should say, "1. Do this 2. Get this person on ship 3. Get to this height" I honestly shouldn't have to be stuck to the forum and youtube to figure anything out with this game. it should be clear.... I want to love this game...I really do. But I'm incredibly agitated by the massive assumptions and explanation short cuts made by the Squad
  11. With a clearer head this morning. I checked the engines again and they are indeed out of fuel. However, it will not let me hit X and drop the stage.
  12. Hello i am on a PS4. This is a tutorial so I would assume that it would dictate fuel consumption. I do the initial burn toward the moon and it cits the engines when the timer ends. I delete my precious manuver so I can warp to the blue marker which then starts the enter moon orbit portion. I can move the throttle up and down no problem, the engines simply won't come on. I can easily turn the ship after I pick a manuver that makes sense to me. I know something isn't right because the "next" won't light up, but for the life of me, the instructions are so poor, I have no idea what is needed. The bar on the right is bright green so I assume I have fuel and there was no instruction to drop a stage. I have reloaded the simulation probably 10 times. Same result each time. Thanks!
  13. I'm having a real hard time with manuvers. I have made it to the moon, but my peri apsis was inside. So I adjusted my radial to have my periapsis at 50km above. I get to that location, point the ship at the cross hairs, and when I power up the engines. Nothing. I'm utterly confused how you perform a manuver when you can't perform a burn. I find the instructions to be very poor for someone trying to learn this from scratch. There should be some sort of guideline to show you the required orbit and you need to match it. Something, but instead you're left clueless until the "next" magically lights up im incredibly frustrated if you can't tell. Been on this tutorial for 3 hours. Help?
  14. When you go to Settings, on the very first screen you see, its the bottom light. Turn that off and motion sensor is turned off.
  15. That's so weird, I played 2 hours, then another 1 hour, never crashed once
  16. I can see some of the frustration. I downloaded this myself yesterday and went right for the tutorials. One thing I didn't understand was their default use of the motion sensor in the controller, I think that actually was MORE clumsy than anything since I move my wrists around while I play. However, being able to shut that off was huge. Another thing I noticed is that without a fully detailed "controller scheme", its difficult to know how everything works. I checked multiple times, but couldn't find anything that told me by clicking L3, that it would go between "mouse pointer" and "controls". Finding this out solved so many frustrations, but really, this is something that should have been detailed from the beginning. Another issue like that is the cycling view. Its confusing when you hold L1, and hit "D-pad DOWN" and that shuts your engines off, but if you just CLICK L1 and Dpad DOWN, it cycles your focus. Twice I had to quit a tutorial because I couldn't understand why I kept getting focused on the sun until I figured this out. A tutorial should exist JUST to tell you how the buttons work, otherwise you're stuck doing trial and error until you figure it out. Now, its not as frustrating when you're in tutorials to figure that out, but I can see the massive frustration if you attempt to go right into the game and figure it out as you go. The other issue I've personally had was understanding why there is no tutorial for re-entry or how to connect orbits. In the get to orbit mission, you complete that, and then it says you can send the capsle back to earth if you wish. How about actually showing me how to do that? I attempted to do that and actually skipped right back out into space after briefly starting re-entry. For Orbits (yes, I did the orbit tutorial prior), I am doing the Mun Part 1, and it says that I should align the orbits. I spent 20 minutes adjusting manuvers trying to do what it wants me to do, and couldnt' do it. The programmers have to give more detail on what they want. Overall I think its a great game, and once you figure out how to do everything, I'm sure it will be even better, but really...PLEASE add more detail to the tutorials. Finally, I have no problem with moving the mouse pointer with a joystick. If I want to click something, quick L3, do what I need, then L3 and back under control. Maybe its because I play PS4 and rarely touch a computer, but I don't think its that bad personally. One question I do have though, for the visual settings, I believe it is UI Interface that is turned down entirely, what is that for?
  17. I have been waiting to finally get this for my PS4, but I am yet to see anyone give a console review of this. I tweeted IGN about it yesterday, but didn't get anything back. I see PSN says that they have 11 5STAR reviews, but no actual comments.
