Whenever you captured an asteroid, a bug immediately occurs where you can no longer save the game, switch vessels, or go to the KSC. It turns out that this is caused by a contract bug. If you have a contract open to capture a specific class of asteroid and you fulfill that requirement, the save glitch will occur 100% of the time. However, if you cancel the contract (or simply don't take one at all), you can now save the game and progress after capturing an asteroid. I've learned that; -This bug only occurs if you have an active contract to capture an asteroid. -The asteroid you capture MUST fulfill the contract classification requirement for the bug to trigger. For example, if you have a contract to capture a 'B' class asteroid, but you capture an 'A' class instead, then the save bug will not trigger. So basically, don't bother accepting asteroid contracts, because they'll break your game the moment you fulfill them. (At least for the Xbox version. I would like someone to test this out for the PS4).

Cannot save after capturing asteroid

Okay, I figured out what is causing the bug. The save bug is being triggered by a contract bug. If you have an active contract to capture a certain class of asteroid, then the game will glitch the moment you fulfill that requirement. However, if you cancel the contract (or don't take one at all), then the save bug will not trigger. Also, if you have a contract to capture a certain asteroid class, but capture a different class instead, then the bug will not trigger. It will only trigger if you capture an asteroid that meets the classification requirement in the contract. -
Are we finally Happy? i'd like to know.

Like the previous version, whenever you capture an asteroid in the enhanced version that save bug occurs where you can no longer save or progress the game. This bug happens 100% of the time. progressing after capturing an asteroid is simply impossible. Was asteroid capturing seriously not even tested? I even submitted a bug report a year ago for the previous version.- 42 replies

This is extremely frustrating because I came across this exact same issue in the last KSP console version, as detailed here. Whenever you capture an asteroid using the claw, that bug occurs where you can't save or progress your game. Like last time, this bug occurs 100% of the time. There is no workaround for this. Did no one really test this before releasing the game??? This was a known bug.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem. I went on a science expedition on Minmus and managed to get science from every biome except the slopes. Whenever I try, the game thinks I'm in the Minmus 'Lowlands'. Obviously slopes is a transitional biome, however, I have tried on all locations on hills where slopes should be and the biome still never registers. Even when I'm in an area where there should be no lowland biomes for kilometers the game still gives me the science for it. I am nearly certain that this isn't user error and that the game is registering the slopes as 'Lowlands'. Can anyone confirm this? (I'm play the Xbox Enhanced Edition)

Yep. I'm getting the crackling sound on the twin boar engine too. Playing on the Xbox EE also.
