  1. In my experience, car-sized rovers made with medium wheels have exceptional stability. I had an open-bed kerbal transport that could safely go 17 mps without flipping on even (KSC) terrain, and that one had a center of mass far from where I wanted it. This thing could probably drive down a Mohole safely, provided you armor the extremely fragile cabin.
  2. Right, I want to see this. I can get around fifty into orbit without much effort using a non-asparagus lifter, and probably twenty more with an asparagus lifter, but I doubt I could pull off 200 tons.
  3. Do you mean it can lift 200 tons or it weighs 200 tons? I'd be interested in seeing one that can lift 200 tons. I can already make one that weighs 200 tons.
  4. How about Dalo and Kaola; two gas giants orbiting each other, both with debris rings that intersect and flow into each other to make a figure eight. Bonus points for Saturn-style hexagonal polar storm funnels. That can be flown down. With baby kraken inside.
  5. You could use a stage separator (blue) instead of two decouplers (yellow/red). Better yet, use docking ports. Nifty little design, though. I may experiment with something similar later.
  6. I'm having an issue with the supersonic cockpit. Two, actually. First, It's attempting to display the default mk1 cockpit's IVA instead of one that actually fits the model. Second, I can't get it to do the cool retracting-window-gimmick-thing when I have it sitting on the launchpad. Pretty minor, but still a bit of a letdown.
  7. First off, use atomic engines whenever you need to get further than the Mun. They're weak, but they'll get you there and back again with enough fuel for a third trip. Second, move the engine on your lander to those radial fuel tanks and replace it with a Clamp-o-Tron Sr. (add one to the transfer stage as well). This way, you can put the transfer stage into orbit, undock the lander, drop it down to Minmus, then bring it back up and refuel before heading back to Kerbin. You'll have way more thrust on the lander than you'll really need, but oh well. Third, shift fuel capacity from the lander itself to the transfer stage. Now you can ride the transfer stage back to Kerbin using its much more efficient atomic engine. Fourth, if you have not yet done so, consult a guide on orbital rendezvous. Should be simple enough in Minmus orbit, but it never hurts to be prepared.
  8. Due to extremely poor internet, I can't download the craft file. However, I have had similar issues, and I can offer a couple of suggestions. First, move the center of lift further back. One of the buttons in the bottom left of the SPH/VAB lets you see it, in case you were unaware. Second, make sure there are some control surfaces on the front. A pair of winglets can be the difference between an acrobatic plane and a pile of rubble.
  9. I really like this module, except for the fact that it can only perform a reliable landing in water. Granted, you can use the thrusters to gently land, but I think it might be a little better if the heat shield could withstand impacts greater than a terrified muscle spasm.
