    TheKorbinjer's post in cant delete any KSP-related folders was marked as the answer   
    If you're launching from steam, right click on the game, select "delete local content", then try to reinstall the game.
    With windows, you can uninstall the game through control panel (i believe) search "remove" and something like "add or remove programs" will pop up. Type in KSP, and delete it. If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.
