Sorry but I have so many questions :

    1) Is it necessary to install the EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-Configs-1.2.2.1. These are the default config files for EVE. I didn't install those, just the EVE Redux folder. But EVE says in-game that it's missing config files (EVE_ATMOSPHERE, EVE_TERRAIN, etc....)

    2) It seems my game takes 10 minutes to start!!!  Just to load the main menu. Wow. This is a.....game-breaker. Especially with a game like KSP. I only play with KSPIE and Stellar odyssey (....and a few mods)

I wonder if it's because of the textures contained in GU. That's a huge size to load. Is it possible maybe to optimize the textures? to gain some loading time.

My game takes exactly 10minutes to start. That's too long. Other than that, it works like a charm. And I have good FPS. An no crash for now

    3) Is it possible in the future to see this great mod in CKAN? It's the only mod I couldnt find on CKAN :)

    1. All you need is normal EVE and the GU_Clouds folder that contains the configs for GU. With GU_Clouds, you just need to merge its contents with the normal GU folder.

    2. GU is a big mod. It takes a while to load, and there really isn't anything that can be done. Textures could be shrunk, but it would lower the quality of the mod. You could manually remove some textures and planets, as well as not load with clouds if you want to save a couple minutes.

    3. I don't think StarCrusher is going to add it to CKAN, but maybe some day.

    Hello,

    This mod seems great.

But I'm a bit confused about the installation. If I enable all the planets (which is by default) there are zip files to decompress in the GU_clouds and GU_scatterer folders. (yes I use scatterer and EVE redux)

Do I have to move the files from _Extra_lists or _Extra folders? Or do I just leave the decompressed files there?

I think the compressed files are removed in the latest version but if they're not, then leave the decompressed folders where the zip file is located.

Wow! It’s as good as Kerbal Star System! But......

1.I remember that there’s a Mod that can make other Systems in the center of the KSP (that means the stock system will not be in the center, or means that the Kerbol is moving around another star). Is it in this Modpack? Or isn’t in this?

2.Can it be used in KSP 1.3.1+ (a lot of planet mod can be used in form 1.3.1 to 1.9.1)?

    3.Is it compatible with Principia?

    1. GU has a homeswitch option for two of its planets (3rd one coming soon)

    2. I'm pretty sure it only works 1.10+ but you're more than willing to try earlier versions. It might work on 1.8 but I don't thing it's been tested.

    3. I don't think so

A somewhat conspicuous omission to the list of compatible and incompatible planet packs is JNSQ. Starting with a stock 1.11 install, GU and JNSQ both work fine alone, but together they cause the game to stall while trying to load the main menu.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I think we just forgot to add JNSQ :P

Is there a list of interstellar systems and planet pack mods that Galaxies Unbound is and isn't compatible with? Not asking for patches, just asking if anyone knows what does or doesn't work with this.

GU should be compatible with most planet mods, except ones that mess with the Sun. I think removing a config or two in GU should fix that though.

We don't have a list, but you're more than welcome to test it out yourself

Wait a ùinute, you took the fact that Epsilon Eridani is in fact Vulcan in Star Trek? That small moon arnound the gas giant was in fact Vulcan?

Have those planets and moons been detected as your chart says (their appearance being up to your imagination still).

If that Ball of dirt is only a moon orbiting around a Gas giant, it breaks Star Trek canon completely. It was never stated that Vulcan was a only a moon ! (only that Vulcan didn't have any moon).

Anyway, it looks gorgeous. Now that I have loads of Ram and a a new hard drive, I could make another copy of KSP just for this mod even if that planet is in a WIP part for now.

It's a planet and it doesn't orbit Epsilon Eridani

I'm new to this but enjoying the first download from about 3 months ago.  What is the procedure to get the upgraded version with the great new planets?  Have not done this in the past.  Do I re-download the entire package and then just put it into Gamedata?  I don't want to lose the saved game with ships orbiting or landed.  Are there planet changes that might be a problem for existing ships? Thanks

At the moment the new planets aren't released except for test versions that were available on our discord.

So I loaded my game with galaxies unbound and when I went to the tracking station to look at the planets everything was blank on the planets but not the moons. For example for kerbin in the tracking station it was just a solid blue all around and for Duna everything was the sold red and so on and so forth can you help me out and how do I fix this. I do have a lot of mods installed do you know of any ones that may interfere?

That sounds like it could be a visual issue. Do you have any visual mods installed?

There's something that has been in my mind for a long time: I really likes the original KSS, so after it was took down, I have the idea of remake the mod with my own planets that has similar properties if I learn how to make planet mods in the future (I can't say when), would that be allowed? (the mod will have a different name)

Just wait a bit and GU will not only be bigger but better than KSS in every way. The next update will add a lot more stars and 2 small systems, with a large system following soon.

And I highly doubt you're going to get permission to remake KSS. StarCrusher doesn't like other people using his work

    Question of curiosity:

Is there a home system extension in the plan?  Something akin to KSS's outer planets, comets, etc.?

    Yes

Sorry, another question: Are the KSC's, both in Blalo and "new" Kerbin, still located in the equator? Or did you guys change it's position for an additional challenge?

KSC at Blalo will be slightly off the equator so you won't get perfect equatorial orbits
