Loved KSS, and am looking forward to this with happy trepidation (if such a thing makes sense). You mentioned that the stock system will be receiving an overhaul; can I ask if that will be included in the primary release pack, or is on the table/in development?
Right now Nova Kirbani is the only system fuly conceptualized. While we have a general idea of the new home system and 1 other system, they aren't nearly ready enough to actually show off.

please tell the approximate release date of the modification
We don't like having release dates because it almost never happens on the desired day. The most we can say is soon

What is the poll about?
It'll decide which system we're going to do next

Exciting, considering KSS's abandonment. I hope this will be just as good and (maybe less memory requirements?) would be nice. I am hyped!
Considering this is just 1 system at the moment and not an entire galaxy I'm almost certain there should be less requirements

I hope that big round fuel tank is included...
Most of the previous parts used for KSS should be in GU, large round tank included

Hey, just a question:can this work with GPP?
Support is planned for the future, but not for a while I think

Framerate is much better than on KSS so far

We'll need new ones eventually

Back from the dead
Glad to be a part of this project. It's definitely an improvement on
the mod that must not be named! -

Hey, is it possible to have like a progress report on Nessus and Kerbos systems? Haven't seen them on this thread in a while.
The first parts of the Kerbos System have been released as a test version and the completed Kerbos System and Nessus System are next on our agenda now that current bodies have been updated

The Space Center glitch isn't a bug we can fix

Hi. I know it says on the installation guide on the wiki that the stock planet overhaul will eventually be optional. This is directly contradicted however on the bottom of the planned features page where it is implied this cannot be done without compromising the character of the mod and suggesting it ought to be made optional is an insult to the developers. I mean no disrespect but I really love the feel of the stock system and would absolutely use this mod if the overhaul of the stock bodies was optional. I simply want to know which text is correct. Is the vanilla planet overhaul planned to become optional?
The text at the planned features page was before we decided to add stock compatibility

Wait- so this mod is postponed for KG? Is that it? (also I'm your biggest fan)
No. We have helpers who are going to commit themselves to helping with KG while we work on KSS too
Although KSS is taking a little break at the moment

Hi, i have been wanting to install KSS for awhile now but were waiting for a new pc. I got it and first thing i did was install ksp and kss. i installed it all right and added the extended kerbol system + EVE and scatterer and i had a bug. in the space center, map and when in the atmosphere the sky was black with clouds but weirdly in the tracking station and when orbiting a planet it was fine. It was a small inconvenience but i didn't mind that much so i installed the rest of the planet packs and the next time i tried to open the game it would get to the end of the loading and crash. I can show you my KSS and Gamedata files if necessary. I am not complaining and totally open to the fact that I made a mistake and installed it wrong can anyone help?
That's a bug from reparenting Kerbin that we can't fix
-
Yes, but in KSS there really is room for 1 super-massive black hole, and Karkua is more of an analogue for Sagittarius A
Instead of being massive N-1 is more of a core of a dead star

That. planet. looks. awesome. will it have moons? Will Karkua have any other planets?
It's probably a no for both of those things. As far as planets around black holes go we might add a Gargantua System analogue around N-1

But it's not. RAM is dumb expensive right now because of the shortage.
Also unrelated, but how's the performance with KSS right now? I really want to load up a fresh career save, but right now I seriously cannot stand the micro stuttering or loading times between scene switch.
Without visuals the mod runs great. I'm not sure of my framerate but I can run the entire mod without visuals smoothly. If you do want visuals, the easiest thing to do is not play with the Kermes Galaxy installed, as the sheer number of sunflares can kill your game

uh would this interfear with outer planets ? XD becouse i rly want this haha, and do i need to start a new game ?
Nope. If you want to play KSS previous saves won't work

sorry if I sound dumb, but you have a dev team that helps you, right?
We don't code. We just do the promotional stuff and sciencedefs

8 Gigabyes of RAM.
I installed clouds and Scatterer for KSS, Kelnis, Kerolon, Kormin, Nova Kirbani along with Optional Tropical Laythe.
If you want a picture of my Gamedata, Here it is.
That's probably your issue. Running so many mods, systems and EVE/scatterer with just 8 Gb of RAM. You'll need to remove either some big mods or a few systems to make it run smoother.
25 minutes ago, The Minmus Derp said:Tropical laythe?????/????????????????????????? I WILL NEVER GO WITH THE REGULAR LAYTHE!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I read a wikipage about Terraformed Duna. Can you readd that? Compatbility with Kerbol Origins plz?
Terraformed Duna will return

Takes soooooooooooooooooooo long to load, once the game opens and the menu shows up, it takes long to load the save. And then when i enter the tracking station, it also takes long to load up, and then when the tracking station shows up, i have to wait like 5 minutes to load up the planets which is also painfully slow.
And, taking controls of the vessels, holy jesus christ. i have to wait another 3-13 minutes for it to load up, even loading a 1-part debris is the same painful loading.
and.. All of the buildings, when i click into them, i have to wait for like 2-7 minutes for them to load up.
What's your RAM? And what systems/mods have you loaded?

Kelnis and Tropical Laythe is now available? Nice!
And i have another problem, My KSP takes so long to load even the simplest things, If someone found a fix for that annoying problem then it will surely be helpful!
Already posted the log somewhere up here.
And as i said, i'm not familiar with logs so yeah.
Does it load or do you get an infinite loading bar?
