As title describes. I'm wondering how I can make it so that whenever a craft would save the location of it's parts, as in breaking ground, it does something else instead before saving. I'm hoping to try and counter robotics drift by just turning off gravity and physics so that the parts destress before saving, but I'm not sure how to do this and I can't figure it out with the documentation.

Hopefully?

I had a somewhat simplistic but kinda plausible idea for fixing the robotics drift, but I'm very inexperienced with mods so some help/someone telling me if this is even possible would be useful. Pretty much, my thinking is since the robotics drifting barely occurs in orbit due to the lack of external forces, the "fix" for the issue should just be to reset all forces on a craft every time it saves part positions. Like, save the position/motion data of the root part for reloading the craft in the correct location, but then set gravity/acceleration/rotational force to zero for the craft, give a few seconds for the craft to settle, and then save part positions. I believe this could be accomplished with the "OnSave" method and editing vehiclephysics.gravity but I don't know enough about this to have any clue if this is viable. Any assistance?

I mean, take 2 said they want microtransactions in all their IP's, so...

1: Hope there are no microtransactions like t2 wants to do in all their games 2: hope there's at least a slight discount for veteran players, just to throw a small bone to the veterans

Why would you do this -
With that tonnage I might as well just make a huge ball of played with an engine and a few essentials inside. I think his tournament is being put on by someone who has no understanding of how this works.
-
Okay no those rules aren’t going to fly. 800000 tons is still way too much. Also no limit on the number of ships is completely absurd.
-
yeah that seems a tad absurd. I could put so many of my indestructible 50 ton snake looking things and just sit there and wait.
