You play it your way, i'll play it my way. For example, I use quicksave every now and then if I've spent 5 hours doing something. I also never use any MODs. But that's my choice and now one can tell me otherwise.

I have a question for Nova: With the introduction of new planets and muns, with things like kerbal.unkerbal launches, power, oxygen, food and water be introduced into KSP to add that next level of adventure? -
I\'m withdrawning from the campaign. It\'s moving in a direction that I dislike where efficiency, ship design and strategy are NOT the factors to winning the space race. The key to winning this is simply, design the most expensive ship you can and pray everyone else is doing it so you make the most profit.

Well umbral, everyone who went for 70km now has two choices: 1. Buy tech and do a lower tier mission to get screwed again as on average it will obviously costs less not factoring in tech. 2. Don\'t buy tech 3 and again do a low quality mission to hopefully catch up with the people who got an \'advance to go\' from Tog. While Jamini who did the 35k with tech 2 items can just carry on advancing, buying the tech 3 and and do the more difficult tasks for better reward. R&D costs may be one time, but to ignore them completely, not factor them into the cost of the ship at all and give a higher reward to people who achieved less is fucking stupid. I understand there\'s teething problems in this, but that fact that you tog are trying to back up the amounts for round 2 and seriously believe that having a higher reward for doing less is the direction you want to take it. Then as i said before, it\'s not a space race or campaign. It\'s a \'who do i want to win\' campaign. I seriously can\'t believe people think it\'s right....

Your logic is flawed. You calculated that the average cost of the craft was 5805 for the 70km. But it wasn\'t, it was 8805 as everyone who did it had to unlock tech 2 to actually do it. Then you said that the average cost for the craft was 6097 for the 35km. Which it wasn\'t as the people participating in doing 35km did it with varying tech levels. To build a craft to do 70km for 5805 on average REQUIRED tech 2. To get 35k on 6097 did NOT REQUIRE tech 2. Therefore people who did it with tech 2 components while others with tech 0 and tech 1 could make a much cheaper craft, but the average of the players bumps up the reward. I understand your trail of thought, but you missed this key bit of information. I\'m not complaining about the campaign in general, I think it\'s a great idea and should continue. But you must of looked at the numbers and thought, 'jeeez, this looks a bit wrong'.

Grats mate, helps doing 35km in previous mission rather than 70km as you gain more money, ship costs less and can now progress further this round, good strategy. /Edit I may be coming across as pissed off (well I am), but you\'ve now completely unbalanced the \'race\' by giving more to the people who achieve less. Whats the point in participating if every time you achieve more than someone else you\'re going to handicap the players for being smarter, better than others? Remove the word Race from the header as it\'s looking more like a fix. Totally feels cheated.....

7.5k for 75km, 7.9k for 35km, 8k for 16.5km? That\'s just crazy as I could of hit 35k on a smaller design that cost less and be at a profit... i could 16.5k on a tiny budget if i knew this before hand. There is no logically reason for the pricing to be backwards so i will not participate further unless mission prices are stated prior to missions being achieved. Punishing people for doing well...

I like the idea of salvaging parts. ALl parts that aren\'t fuel containers return 75%. All other parts that hold fuel etc at 40% (fuel tanks, srb\'s) Parachutes, decouplers etc 0% Will definitely make it more strategic. BUT for the first round, i\'d say only salvages pod as people have already submitted designs.

That\'s a Command Module not Pod.... I included it Originally as the command pod, but decided it is referring to the command module (1 with RCS fuel in it) and not the pod itself as it would simply be called Command Pod otherwise. I made the assumption because it was a bit through the list and the fact it wasn\'t compulsory (automatically marked like the ZOxygen module). Guess we need some clarification on this.
