KASA Reaches Orbit:
SOLSpaceExploration replied to SOLSpaceExploration's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
A probe core with solar panels, a comunotron 88-88 and as many science experiments as I could fit on it -
KASA finally constructed the Kerbollo YR-648, and sent it, and Jebediah Kerman to orbit Kerbin. It was a probe with Jebediah as the "in case..." pilot. The flight went "quite smoothly" according to Gene Kerman, except liftoff when the rocket wanted to flip. The Kerbollo YR-648 is KASA's first rocket, but it took ten years of research, development and engineering to complete. They did a second flight after, and took a science probe into orbit; according to Gene Kerman (again) the second flight was better than the first flight. The next mission will be land a probe (hopefully) on the Mun, then send a Kerbal to plant a flag on it. The Kerbollo YR-648 Next Story: Jebediah Kerman's novel: "Living in a Junkyard" is Kerbin's new bestseller.....
