Ok - got it. Well all i can say is there seemed to be no rhyme or reason for the errors. They appear at different intervals, so unless I record all my actions I doubt I could recreate the error. Having said that I will try and see what I can find out.

Ok cheers - that all seems good. However given the complexity of getting beyond the Kerbin system, it will be a while for me!!!!

I am having a small issue with buttons freezing. By that I mean if you click on a strut or cockpit or Kerball and then try to click the follow up button for say 'Crew report' or Take sample, etc, then the button freezes. You can click close no problem, just the action buttons. Now if you save and reload the buttons all work fine. I am using the latest version. Not a big issue as you can save and reload, but anyone know why it is happening? Keith

Ok - I am about to try to get to one of the other planets - probably Eve, and I was wondering is there life out there? Interesting question, what is the general view - is there likely to be any contact? Keith

I am guessing you can't do this with just the base game? I haven't added any mods or anything yet.

Not sure if this is the right forum(?) but, how do you transport a rover to the Mun? I am playing in career mode and almost have enough science to research the rover bits, so I was thinking, how would you transport it! Keith

Oh, ok - I didnt see that! Normally you get the review at the end of the mission, but as I am leaving the probe in orbit, I don't get that.

Hello I was wondering..I have managed to created my first survey probe, launched it, got a polar orbit and did a survey. All very nice, but I didn't get any rewards. I felt a bit cheated on that one, as it was quite hard, I would have thought at least a tiny bit of science? Any one else manage to get some reward? Keith

I was wondering what exactly do the reaction wheels do? Now I now someone will say read the manual or whatever - but the in guide is not very helpful and the tutorials dont really tell you. So i just wondered in simple terms what they do. Keth

Ok - the issue seemed to be getting on the ladder. The new lander has the side rockets higher, so the ladder reaches the ground - almost. By using the F key and then the W key it seems to work. The morale of this story is to ensure your ladders get close enough to the ground! I have little luck with the rocket pack - not very good at using that. This is only my 3rd week with the game! Thank you all for your help. Keith

Ok thanks. No mods, and it is the new beta version. I am not going past the ladder, it is trying to actually get on and stay on. However, by adding lots of ladders it can be done, but it is not that easy. Tapping the w does help though, once I ma on the ladder. Not sure if a screenshot would help, but I can certainly add one. The lander I created had four rockets on the sides of the fuel tank, the ladder to the capsule in the middle. I think there was not enough space for the ladder - but I will try to post the pciture and see what you think.

Hello All, I seem to keep having real problems with getting my Kerbals back into the ships. The problem is where they have to 'grab' or 'climb' back. I just can't seem to manage it. I get them to the bottom of the ladder, click F for grab or climb, they move onto the ladder and slip back down. I have tried adding several ladders to see if that helps, but no, the same thing happens. How do you all get them back in? Keith

Hi Thanks for the response - albeit a bit late! Yes - the issue is finding a tutorial that is up to date, you can search the forums, Google, etc - but very often they say it is out of date or will not work with the most recent version . I asked the question is there an up to date tutorial in the vain hope that someone might say, well yes, such & such as produced one in the past few months! As to content, - a tutorial helps you get to grips with the game...Having posted several questions I have found actually you will get a better answer by just asking. So in effect a tutorial is obsolete! However it would be nice to have one as the image tutorials do not cover everything. Keith

Ok I have now cracked the getting to Mun & back bit. All ok now. No Cheats either. I am now trying to get to grips with a landing, do any of you have some advice on the actual lander? Most of the posts don't really cover the lander in detail. Keith
