  1. Is no need for waiting for full version comes out, you can paid now 50 bucks if u want feed Jeb 8).
  2. Gas giants could be very challenging, because they had in general a lot of moons (even planet-sized) and asteroids. For example, Jupiter had 66 moons and 4 of them are larger than our moon, rest is more like ksp minmus or smaller Same planet itself is less interesting - u can\'t land on it and it\'s a death-trap for everyone who enter too close 8). Below, planet\'s and largest moons comparison from planetary society web-page (large).
  3. Very nice documentary about AGC and guidance system . Part1 http://youtu.be/Y7sMe52fEAc Part2 http://youtu.be/RKbbJrB9e4A Part3 http://youtu.be/r985on21qzk
  4. I think, that I could compare Metric and Imperial systems problem to decimal VS roman numerical system - roman system couldn\'t resist too long in common use, because it was inferior/obsolete comparing to decimal system : . Right bellow, nice picture showing clear differences between both systems . .
  5. Yep, monoprop engines are nice (they could be better when we will could make enignes/RCS groups) but fuel consumption is slightly IMBA . Also when I write this challenge i meant about slowing down craft just 2/3sec before hitting the ground (closer to ground/falling faster = better) in one, powerful burst (like opening parachute in last sec) .
  6. Launch vertically VA capsule using standard LV-T30 engine and half tank - use only escape tower (fire tower when ~180m above ground and jettison when stop falling down) and RCS to land with crew alive ;D. *Cosmos VA capsule parts needed
  7. I\'m testing new linear RCS in 0.15 and (accidentally) achieve speed of Mach 2.074 (706m/s) on the runway 8). I added craft file in attachment if somebody want try beat the score Rocket sled preparing on the runway First run score vehicle left the runway (second run) second run score
  8. Nah, this book isn\'t bad because of disturbing thing or something - this book was simply so WEAK (comparable level to 'The Bold and the Beautiful' ) that my Brain hurt\'s when i read this crap :.
  9. You must notice that, NERVA project has been canceled, not because of engine performance but as a result of cancellation Apollo program and further plans of mars exploration, also because idea of putting radioactive components inside spacecraft engines is very unpopular. This second reason is quite ridiculous, because ever if heavy lifter blow up during launch, reactor casing should stay fairly intact, and debris sunk in ocean... and finally launching large 100-300MW nuclear reactors for VASIMIR isn\'t pretty safe idea too (if we follow this point of view ). Anyway, US and Russians was launching RTG generators (last one power up Curiosity rover) in space since Apollo and anyone complain about that.
  10. Yes, English is my second (or third ,if consider German) language (i\'m Polish, BTW) and doesn\'t speak too well yet. But I\'m still learning and try improve my English skill .
  11. Yes, i know about it, but this engine will be pretty weak, only for station keeping and hall thrusters could be better deal for ISS (comparable power, proven in space - used in USSR satellites from early 70s without real failures). So I\'m still didn\'t believe that thanks to VASIMIR engine we could build spaceship able to reach Mars in 30-40 days like Ad-astra suggest : (this is like hairdryer manufacturer say that they own product could beat Turbofan engine without any problem). EDIT1: Of course I\'m not wish worse for the VASIMIR, but it for long didn\'t be 'weapon of choice' of deep space exploration.
  12. Nah, but u could simply fail a year and u had enough time to learn xd. In two/three weeks u can learn whole semester if u work really hard - trust me 8). EDIT1: Of course, regular learning is fair more better idea.
  13. 4) If you abort the shutdown, add 1 point to your score, and divide the time delay by 2 (initially 120). 5) Repeat until you fail to abort the shutdown, at which point you lose. Submit your score to this topic for a ranking! I think, that in this case better idea could be simply shut-down computer and take a walk, read the book (or read the book outside) or whatever, do anything constructive stuff .
  14. I\'m very skeptical about VASIMIR... Chemical rockets work, NERVA engine\'s work very nice (i remember, even someone add them in own parts pack) , ion engines work pretty well (hall thrusters too), but VASIMIR ... isn\'t anything real for me (maybe for ~50 years but i really doubt in that) . If you like YT, see that
  15. Yeah, prepare for brain-rape sonny .
  16. Hah, i still remember my religion teacher from high school, i had very 'cool' priest - whole class look\'s more like philosophical debate than ordinary lesson (and u could beat the teacher if u had nice arguments ;p) ... high school was a good time Anyway what\'s really hard in school, c\'mon 8) I really worried about / hate school only in few moments in my life: * when i see elementary school first time - 'but, mummy i\'ts so BIG :\'(' * in third grade (elementary) when some brute (6 grade) grab my legs and put up over an staircase (u know, u can admire this all 3 floors under you and hope that this guy still grab your legs and u not fall and DIE ???) * in middle school (between elementary and high school) where everyone hates you and u run to counselor site of building when u know that some guys want beat you severely or do other stuff... * Physics class teacher in middle school (I liked almost every teacher i encounter in my school life but Jesus, she was a Bi***) * When i wanted invite... someone for graduation party (or whatever it\'s called in English) and I behave like daisy (so i don\'t) . * And of course when i convulsive refreshing Technical University admission web-page :. But after school it\'s all insignificant (comparing to real-life), really . Anything more i can\'t recall... EDIT1: Ah, noo - 'The Sorrows of Young Werther' Worst book i ever must read in school >.
  17. Best Kerbal comic ever seen before... i love this style ! BTW, What would you name her?
  18. Also good will be put a programmable computer inside jettisoned stage (maybe in near future ), so it could be program to attempt retrograde burn after separation (like centaur upper stage) or control it remotely like normal ship - it will be nice to operate unmanned ship\'s from another ( like controlling progress from ISS, when docking ) !
