  1. Thank you for this. Now I can start familiarizing myself with the new layouts and figure out which would work best for me!
  2. I do recall them saying it will be there, but it won't be as extensive as the PC version. To what extent they did not say.
  3. I actually enjoy the in game music and sound effects. There's just something about getting into space and hearing that music kick in and enjoying the view. Listening to other music just wouldn't feel the same to me. To be honest though, I've never been one to listen to "outside" music while playing any game.
  4. Oh I agree it's not going to happen, but from how I took what you said it seemed like you didn't think it was possible. I'll tell you, if I can get to Duna and back then anything is possible. ( I never thought It was going to be possible to do seeing how my first month of playing was going).
  5. whats stopping them from adding a currency to the game? Why do you need a physical currency you can buy at a store? I'm just not following you here. After all isn't the only way to buy this game through online? I'm not saying it's going to happen or even likely, but it's never out of the realm of possibility.
  6. Shadow of War is a single player game with some slight on line components, but has a loot box system imbedded in the single player game. https://kotaku.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-shadow-of-wars-controversia-1819293793 https://www.polygon.com/middle-earth-shadow-of-war-guide/2017/10/9/16434166/market-microtransactions-followers-gear-boosts-training-orders-garrison-bundles-silver-gold-mithril
  7. Finally, it’s been a long wait. Very excite to get back to playing this game. A thank you to Squad for doing what needed to be done get this reworked game to us console folks despite the mess the first time around was.
  8. The thing is we still don’t even have it yet. They should at least wait until they finish and get it to us. Also we’ll still be a few versions behind the PC version, and we have no indication on dlc for the console either. Just saying........
  9. I play on PS4 and the game ran OK, the biggest issue is the save corrections. They don't happen constantly, but it seems to happens when you're deeply invested in a mission. I have had plenty of successful missions in my career mode, but after having the save corrupt dozens of times over the year I gave up to wait for this new version.
  10. Same here. Hopefully it passes certification sooner than later so we could have it in a few weeks.
  11. Thanks for the heads up Deddly!
  12. I do recall reading something along the lines of them adding a form of the debug menu for consoles in a more limited capacity. I just don’t remember where that post was. Of course it could have all just been in my head, so hopefully someone else might be able to confirm that with a bit more confidence then me.
  13. I've played Skyrim with mods as well on PS4( despite limitations Sony put on them) and they do work fine, hence why I believe it is possible. Though Bethesda has a been doing this quite a bit longer (PC and console development) then Squad and with the difficulties they have had with the port I'd be pretty surprised to see mod support. At least right now. Look how long it took for them to get mod support after release for Fallout and that was planned. I'm just saying no one should get there hopes up at this point, after all we don't even know if we're getting the DLC ( I'm pretty hopeful we will because it's more likely then not). Not to mention with the game now in the certification process and no mention of mod support is pretty telling. At this point getting a game that runs well and works is at the top of there priority and throwing mods into that now seems like a risk to the integrity of the game they shouldn't be taking right now.
  14. I highly doubt we will be getting mods. Not impossible, but not very likely. I’m surprised that was even mentioned in that article as the lack of mods had nothing to do with why the game was taken down from the store. It was taken down because it was broken. Not having mods isn’t even a valid complaint. When you decide to be a console player you pretty much accept games are not going to be modable. ( yeah there are a few but it’s not common practice, at least not yet).
  15. If I had to guess it would be to differentiate from the FT port. They are essentially re-releasing the game. Plus it is being released with more content then the original console port. It’s not much different when other games are re-release with all the DLC a year or two later (I.E. GoY edition, Definitive Edtion and so on). Its my belief that if they went through the trouble of getting a new dev and redoing the console port that they will continue to support it as long as the pc version. Though I have a feeling that the future updates that add things to the game will come with a price tag on consoles where as they will probably continue to be free for pc. I wouldn’t have a problem with that either as long as the upated’s add content (priced correctly) and are not just patches to fix things(those should always be free).
  16. Now that we know when we are getting this update and it’s not too far off, I’m curious if we will download as a patch or if we will have to delete the old version and re-download it. They said it was basicly scrapped and started over with Blitzworks. I may do it anyway just in case, I don’t want anything that FT touched with this game to come into contact with Blitzworks version. (It may create a black hole the game never returns from).
  17. It would be a Christmas miracle!!!
  18. To the best of my knowledge they haven’t given any specifics on that info as of yet, just that those changes are coming.
  19. In all honesty as a console player I wouldn’t mind if some version of these mods actual become some type of paid DLC as well as other things.(Such as more parts and planets). It’s different than the modding community making mods for free as it’s a passion and hobby. I’m more than willing to pay for additional content post release as it costs money for the devs to continue support to expand a game. Sure free updates are always welcomed, but I’m a realist and understand not everything can always be free.(as long as pricing is appropriate). I also realize mods are possible on consoles but usually not likely. I think it’s more of a hassle for the devs to set the console version up to work with mods (just look at the trouble they are having getting the vanilla game to run) than it would be for them to just continue to make new content themselves and charge for it.
  20. What is the point of this post?
  21. I appreciate your understanding for us console folk. The PS4 version definitely was never patched. I'm not entirely sure about the Xbox (it may have), and if it was I guess it didn't work which maybe the reason the PS4 never got it. As disappointed I am that it is still three months out, I at least appreciate them finally telling us how far out we are (the only real gripe I have had with this process). Yeah I'm frustrated, annoyed, maybe a bit bitter that for the last year I haven't been able to enjoy this game that has been sitting dormant on my system, but I'm sure when the update comes I can and will get back to enjoying the game I really got hooked on.
  22. All the jokes that they really meant early 2018 when they originally stated early next year ended up actually true. This is true and it’s not going to because they didn’t hit the time frame that they now have given us, rather because it will have been over a year since they announced the update and over a year and a half since they have released a broken game with out one patch to attempt to fix it.
  23. I'm still here, though I am losing interest in the game. Haven't even tried to play in months and the longer it goes the less likely I will even care when the update does come out. If they intend to wait to fix every bug then they will be waiting forever because no game is ever bug free. They should have at the very least updated the game for people that have already bought the game months ago. They could have waited until their hearts content to rerelease the game, but to leave us hanging with a broken game for well over a year is horse............ A playable game with the bugs they have mentioned for the time being would have been far better then where we are now, and they owed us that (a playable game, mind you the game never even received a patch for the PS4 to attempt to fix it).
  24. True, but back then they weren't telling us much let alone what ever bugs that are remaining are minor. I guess I having a little glimmer of hope that it may be sooner than later at this point, but they have made it seem that way before.
  25. Well they say what ever bugs they have been coming across are mostly minor, how far can they actually be from pushing it out.
