  1. Update on my space station (or is it a ship already?) - mounted fuel tanks and some new antennas + 4 poodles. Now I shoot for Mun or Minmus. My tests showed me it takes 1 orange tank to get to Mun (one way). Will be interesting.
  2. Wow. My station has 607 parts and my MET clock is already constantly yellow. I still need a few parts up there - fuel tanks actually. But as you said, EVA and docking is still fine. The rendezvous pause is real. Especially annoying in time warp mode when the game stucks and then suddenly you are already behind your station and have to go another round... My PC is i5-6500, 16GB RAM and a very old AMD R7 265. Maybe a stronger CPU would help
  3. 819 parts you say? respect - how laggy is it? My space station with below 600 parts starts lagging already...
  4. Another update on my cubic space station: I finally added proper solar panels and sent my crew up to the station - 13 crew members in total now. 4 scientists constantly working in the 4 labs to produce some good science which really needs a lot of electric power actually. As you can see there are also already 4 "Nerv" Atomic Rocket Motors to transform the space station into a space craft.
  5. After I saw the assembly drones here I created one for my space station as well. With 2 z-1k batteries and an reaction wheel and 8 rcs thrusters it can move larger objects very well. And I've also added a cockpit to the cube. The lights around the cockpit are inspired by the movie "Event Horizon" (they have a lot of lights arranged in circles) hence the name for my space station "SPACE HARBOR HORIZON".
  6. Some more info: 16 launches so far (one for each part) - aligning the units was a little bit tricky with the cubic design, but it worked. My plan is to add a few of those big orange fuel tanks to make this space station not only a monoprop refilling station, but also a liquid fuel/oxidizer refilling station. Alternatively I could also attach some nuclear propulsion engines (once I have them researched) and fly to another planet with the whole cube. So many possibilities
  7. Finally managed to create my cuboid space station in career mode. Around 560 parts atm - not yet lagging. Yay! No parts mods except for the tiny computer board from "Kerbal Engineer Redux" - so it's basically a vanilla space station.
