  1. Since Laythe's orbit appears to have 0 eccentricity, 0 inclination , and is tidally lock (source KSP wiki): I don't think you can use tidal heating from Jool (see Tiday heating rate equation). Maybe from other moons?
  2. Hello, From far, it seems harder to simulate Laythe. The main reasons are: You cannot suppose that solar irradiation is constant as with the case with Kerbin. Laythe goes into the shadow of Jool. Distance from Kerbol changes due to the fact that it orbits Jool. Laythe is smaller and is farther away from Kerbol : I don't know if the atmosphere would be stable with the simulation (or if it would crash in snowflakes of oxygen) you would need to test several parameters and maybe use more complex models. But that would be awesome to see this either way!! :-)
  3. Hello Décepteur, I have seen that the Posidonius code can simulate long term (10 million year long) solar systems evolution. It is a N-body simulator that takes into account spin evolutions of bodies. More on the author's website Maybe it can help you find the correct parameters for your planets.
  4. Actually Venus has at least one quasi-satellite 2002 VE68, which is more like an asteroid to me (0,5 km)
  5. Apparently, no one can predict from theory what the thrust or Isp will be. For instance, engines are constructed specifically for certain type fuels. For instance the size of the chamber is not the same if you use H2-LOX or Kerosene-LOX. And if I have understood correctly, engineers use results from already built engines to guess what their engine will produce for output. I still need to find the source.
  6. I don't throw patched conics at people. Well tai chi and karate are all about breathing ... and using gravity. Something like an integer overflow? You Will Not Go To Space Today
  7. Hi everyone! I began playing KSP last January on a French Youtube channel called Astronogeek. Since then I discovered that space conquest is not that easy! Long waits until you reach the right spot and then everything can go south in a fraction of seconds. When not on Kerbin, I'm a statistician/data scientist from France. I enjoy scuba diving, tai chi and karate. Hope we can get along!
